Pleased to meet you.
Hi everyone.
I am the proud owner of a lightning blue metallic 2007 R56S, with the premium and sport packages, which I bought new last October.
The performance mods I've done so far are: Alta turbo inlet tube (red), M7 SRP's, and Sprintbooster. I also have a few cosmetic/convenience add-ons (glovebox tidy, rear seat pulls, stubby antenna, strut tower caps, centre console storage tray, stainless steel defroster trim ring...)
On order I have the M7 cross brace, AGS-R (cold air intake, with heat shield and areogel insert), intercooler charge pipe to delete the muffer (red too, of course), intercooler bezer and 25 mm rear sway bar.
My Mini/MINI pedigree is pretty good. The first car I ever rode in was what my dad called the "Mini station wagon" with wood trim. He travelled a lot for work, so he rigged up a hammock for me in the back and my mom and I went with him. We drove hundreds of miles that way. My first car of my own was a 1971 Austin Mini that I bought when I was going to university in the 1980s. In 2005 my brother an I went on a Scotch tour to the UK, and rented a new Cooper S to circumnavigate Scotland.
Scrolling though the thread here I realize I have a lot to learn, and am pleased to join you.

long weekend ahead!
My local supplier tells me that my M7 shipment should arrive Friday, so I'll have to find a few hours to put the front on jack stands, remove the grill, install the charge pipe and intercooler bezel. The intake need painting, so that will have to wait, and I'll need help with the swaybar, but these mods should make some difference anyway. Maybe I'll try to get some pix up here.........
Have a good labour day weekend everyone!
