All Aboard the ANIARA, Departing Southampton 9/4/08
#2
Looks like I'm gonna miss that boat, mines not leaving until 9/7/2008 on Integrity, with each vessel holding 6,000 cars (best guess) thats 12,000 cars in 3 days, thats movin' movin'.
**News Flash**
Integrity just departed Antwerp and is heading to Southampton as I type (9/3:2200) go baby go.

(Assuming we're on this brand-spanking new incarnation of the Aniara.)

My MINI would've been there at the port waving his handkerchief at his Week 36 siblings as they sailed off, but he's still on the assembly line. Best wishes on your journey!
I was intrigued by the name ANIARA, as so many WW ships are named after operas. Guess what, there's an opera called "Aniara"! It's based on a Swedish poem. Wikipedia gives this synopsis: "Controlled by the computer Mima, the space ship Aniara leaves the poisoned Earth, heading for Mars. The vessel is thrown off course, forcing a journey to the constellation Lyra which will last for the rest of the lives of crew and passengers. When the Earth is destroyed, Mima cannot continue, and the commander deals as best he can with the increased despair and moral deterioration of those aboard. The 20th anniversary of the voyage is celebrated and death is near, as the journey comes to its end."
OK, that's weird. Don't forget to write!

Yep! Just got home and hopped on the computer right away to check the status and the ship IS moving!
MiniCS click the link I pasted above and put in GBSOU679231
That is the booking number. I'm really just assuming that those are all the minis that made it on the boat going by the vin numbers listed.

Sorry to make you guys wait. I couldn't seem to get on until 18:52. Slowed by a dodgy curry, no doubt.

Hi Euro,
I'm with you (alone with 265 other bulldogs)! Surprising there are that many coming into NY VDC. Anyway, NE is the most densely populated corner of the states. Hopefully that doesn't translate to long processing time at NY VDC. Luckly, I'm in Westchester, so it's a short ride from the port.

however last night my vin # had a * after it and just said it was checked in at the port, but was supposed to be on this ship.
This morning my vin # states loaded on ship 9/5/08 10:45
Does this mean my MINI jumped and swam for the ship that already departed 9/4/08 and was resuced and loaded 9/5/08
