It is hard to believe that we are able to see our cars on the Elektra crossing the Panama canal live.

I hope the time at the VDC is minimal. Some of you just have a short truck ride, it is a bit longer to Colorado. Is 7 days from VDC to the dealer in the ballpark?

Are any of you East Bay folks planning on financing thru the dealership? I was approved for 4.75% at PenFed. Jesse told me thats a great rate and East Bay can't even come close to it....just FYI.

I was told 7 days just for it to get to my dealer in the San Francisco bay area which is no more than 8 hours drive from Port Hueneme.

How long of a term for that rate? Do you have to put any money down?

PenFed is 4.75% for any term up to 72 months, i chose 60, but i think i'll pay it off sooner than that. i did put down $15k and finance the rest, which is $14k+change.

I just obsessively used the Google Earth Vessel tracker and found the Elektra nearing California. They update this every 24 hrs, so I actually don't know how close she really is. Time to think about the $$ part of all this. Congrats to all of the 36er's who've just recieved their honeypie-MINI's so far!

Max: I was just thinking about that. I'm fairly certain our ship has docked by now and our MINIs are disembarking. The last time the tracker was updated was over 12 hours ago. If you compare the dots every 6 hours, there is more than ample time to reach Port Hueneme. They're just busy off-loading and forgot to send the update to the tracker. I think it was a similar situation when the ship entered the Panama Canal.

Yeah. Hopefully the ship will dock later tonight and quickly unloading the Minis.

A few others week 36ers already have their nicely tucked in garages! They are on the East coast, of course!

I will probably email Jesse tomorrow about the timeline of delivery. Hopefully this weekend at the earliest or sometime next week should work. Not very long now, guys and gals.

I'm sure it was a batch update. They're all showing 02:00 discharge.
