Since the ship's last reported position is from Sept. 7 (before she even hit Belgium on her way to Southampton), I can only assume that they are just too busy partying and having fun to bother and check in at the sailwx info site. As long as the Captain can smoothly dock in Halifax and then in NY, I am fine with his (or her) lack of communication. It would be nice to get an update at some point, though. She is supposed to dock in Halifax tomorrow, so hopefully we can get an update from the port later this evening or tomorrow morning.
Hang in there everyone. Each day, we are closer to motoring with a big smile.

Yep, I'm glued to the Weather Channel right now trying to figure out whether the weather is going to delay Bianca some more. Sorry guys, but she was delayed from production week 36 to week 37, then she was left on the dock when the first ship sailed three days after she was at port. Looks like she's going to be delayed again. Maybe I should change her name to Pokey.

The Halifax Port info still has the Don Q docking at 0618 local time tomorrow morning at the Eastern Auto Terminal. I can hope she'll either hold that schedule or ride out the weather offshore. It has been pretty tough not getting a single update during her jaunt across the pond, but hopefully we can watch her from now on all the way into NY and Brunswick.
In preparation for landing, please return your seatbacks and tray tables to their upright and locked position, and check to make sure your seatbelts are securely fastened low and tight across your lap.

The Don Q is now in Halifax Harbor. She is not docked as of yet, but she is out of the wrath of the open sea. The Tug Svitzerbedford has just pulled alongside her to help her with the last kilometer or so.
BTW, I am tracking on the AIS site (from within the "how to track your mini" thread above). Just need to select Halifax approach from the "go to" pulldown menu). It updates in real time, so it's pretty cool to see the ship movement approaching the harbor.
Even with the storm along the east coast, it's still very exciting to know that she's on the right side of the Atlantic.

She is now docked and safely in port. She is supposed to embark again at about 9:30 local time this evening. Not sure if she will wait out the storm in Halifax or face it head on.
I wonder how many MINIs will be leaving at this stage of the trip. As I recall, there were 289 MINIs loaded aboard in Southampton. After Halifax, she will make port in NY and Brunswick, unloading MINIs for all us eager motorers in the States.
Every day is one step closer. Patience, patience.

Evening Update
The Don Q has embarked from the dock at Halifax. She is not out of the harbor yet, but she is heading around McNabs Island and pointing her bow to the open seas again. She's already at 12 knots. Looks like Kyle will not slow down our MINI journey. Next stop is NY, where she is scheduled to make port on Monday, 9/29.

Hello ColonialHoo
No problem, Thanks for the compliment,, I love the Cabrio. Only had it since last May. But Im really lookin Fwd to the JCW. weeeee
Im guessing That NY harbor is off limits to public live ship tracking for Security reasons.
the weather is looking nasty out there.
We should be able to pick up the Don Quijote again on Tue when she pulls into Baltimore.
take care

I have the same problem, still showing 'awaiting transport'. Quite silly actually! The car is going to be in Georgia soon but the wonderful mini OL is going to show her still in the UK, awaiting her stork!

I haven't even checked the OL or ASK-MINI in over a week. OL is woefully behind, and the ASK-MINI line can't give an update on where a ship is. Their duty ends with "in transit". No need to get worked up over any out-of-date information.
Once I got my VIN and got word of production completion, I plugged into the WW site and checked (obsessively) until my car showed up on the Don Q cargo list. Unfortunately, the Don Q hasn't checked in to update her position since Sept 7, but I was able to watch her come into and then embark from Halifax. Again, she is now invisible until she hits the NY port. The AIS site doesn't show any realtime traffic around NY, so I'll have to rely on the departure list for the port to check her NY status. The Brunswick crowd should be able to watch her from Baltimore down. Just think, all our babies should be on US terra firma before the week is out.
