As probably most of you i have a major case of OCMD (obsessive compulsive MINI disorder). So here the hires pictures of the TRAVIATA going through the Miraflores locks:
http://picasaweb.google.ru/markas.ko...lofloresLocks#

Also i made a short movie of her going through for those of you that are interested:
http://rapidshare.com/files/149270903/TRAVIATA.zip.html
Download, unzip, watch & enjoy

P.S. No i did not sit there and make screeshots of the webcam every 20sec. But i did write a small program that did .

So there l was, went 2 days ahead of the boat to make sure l would "get the shot". Waited all day (ok, so l was at work), caught it by the bridge, keep track of her log and at what spot she was jockying for. Even had the HD camera is a backup. Tried listen to my ham radio for their freq. And then it happened, and with a last name of Murphy you plan for the worst, l couldn't copy the hi-res so l got out the camera a shot the screen, with l know isn't the best, and after it's done look at the pictures and if they went to Photoshop they'd look good. But Markas made a movie and Bearly574 got a great Hi-Def full screen snag....so great job guys and l thought l was the only one who did the math backwards to know when she would be and where. The management list being updated every hour helped alot because you could see what ships had gone through and where they were on the list. So now if they start transmitting there location again we'll be in the saddle!

And is it just me but the shot l posted of the bridge and the boat was there for a while and when l came bace on at the house it's time stamp was 9/28 23hours something...Ah! Ok! Look at my message stamp at the time, weird stuff!

Hi All! First post here. My boyfriend just told me about this site and said my mini Oreo is on this boat. I'm so excited! This is my first new car. I've been reading this forum for the last three days (practically every free moment) and thought it was time stop trolling and post something.

Getting my mini from south bay, financing through penfed, and insurance through wawanesa.

A close friend also ordered the same time but he's week 38.

Oreo hasn't arrived yet, but I'm already looking for places to do my first oil change at 1500 miles (I read the post about doing it myself, but don't really want to risk messing up) and a good tinting shop.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Again, HI!

I hope your 1500 miles was a slip of the zero. The dealer says about 15,000 to the first oil change but the car's computer will actually tell you when the oil change is due dependent on driving style, traffice patterns....yadda yadda yadda.....Happy Motoring!

The little red dot keeps making great progress. An average of 100 nautical miles per 6 hours.

Talked to my MA today and he thinks that it should only take about a week to get from the VDC to the dealer Colorado. That is great news for all of us here. Means i will get my baby at some time the week of Oct 13th!!!! Can't wait. it is so close and yet so far.

Approaching the tip of Baja California.

Interesting about time to CO, My MA said it would take about 5 days for car to get to Bay Area which is much shorter distance. The race is on to see who's arrives first

She seems to have dropped off the map. Went to the link and she is no longer on it. Maybe she is in port?
