Sandy great pictures, I was checking way too early for Medea. It is nice to know there are a few of use obsessed with Medea. If I could just track it that would be great.

Thanks for all the responses! I just had a feeling I would see that ship. Even before I saw it motoring into the locks, I told my hub -- that's it, that's our ship. He was peering over my shoulder, saying, well, you can't tell from here, maybe it just looks like MEDEA; maybe it's another WW ship. I said, nope, that's it! I got so excited I must have snapped about 20 pics.

So, I'm guessing, if MEDEA gets to Port Hueneme on Oct 12, it might take 1-2 weeks after that for me to actually touch my new car. A few days at VDC, then a few days to truck it to the dealer in Northern CA?

I heard that there were delays in customs for the 2009 Minis until they got approval from the EPA. Does anyone know if the delays are over?

(I'm getting antsy, so I made a new sig.)

Sandy

Nice signature!

rasputinj has been doing a little research on the 2009/EPA thing...perhaps he'll respond and have some sort of update?

Hurricane Norbert

I'm glad MEDEA appears to be on schedule. I checked the Wallenius tracker, and the arrival date is still 10/12.

Hurricane Norbert seems to be gaining strength in the Pacific near Baja and Cabo. I hope our babies are safely beyond that point. Here's the hurricane report:

Well everything looks to be on schedule for our babies to arrive Stateside today!!! We should all be motoring soon. I can hardly wait ad hope there was no damage to repair at VDC and it with any luck I will be motoring next weekend.

I have a few questions for my MA so I figure I might as well stop by the dealership today and take another test drive while I am there.

I checked three times today with no luck as soon as I stopped checking the Medea showed up. Of course our Clubman does not have the Anthracite Headliner we ordered, but we are happy that it is just 20 miles from our house. Now will fly 300+ miles east to LV to get it next week. My spouse HTClubman was wondering if the VDC would let us see our vehicle, but I am not sure they would let anyone in there off the street much less obsessed/crazy people like us in the VDC...

Okay, so you live in California and you are flying to LV to pick up your Clubman? Why did you buy it from a Nevada dealership versus a California dealership? Are you trying to avoid a surcharge or taxes?

We bought it from Vegas because we could get it at MSRP and get it this year...we were going to buy from South Bay MINI in California, but they are so booked with orders, we wouldn't be able to get our 2009 Clubman S until February 2009! We JUST can't wait that long!! So, we'll take a mini vacation (no pun intended) to Vegas to pick up our new baby!! Whooo-Hooooo!!!

How did you find out that your Anthracite Headliner is missing?

It appears all week 37 and 38's are missing. And it's no longer on our order review (for rasputinj and HT Clubman). Everyone else who has posted on week 37 has said their anthracite headliner was missing. We'll see!!

According to motoringfile.com, the Clubman is the only one effected.

Nice, I did not realize both of you are picking up in LV. I should get my MINI a few days later.

Thanks for the update rasputinj.

HTClubman my beautiful wife somehow insists on coming to pickup our Clubman. My Father inlaw wanted to pickup the Clubman in LV, I was fine with it as long as he writes a check to pay off the rest of it.

It is so exciting to be getting this close. I have purchased speakers, sub, amp, porter cable 7424, Prima products, Ultraleggera wheels (won't be until end of month), sound deadening materials. Now all we need is our Mini Clubman.

Hopefully we can see OceanMini at a Mini event in the Bay Area, and Desert Mini in Southwest Mini event. Love live the Medea!!!!!

Clubman Only? I ordered a MCS, is there some sort of rivalry? I ski, but will shred the slopes with the boarders as well.
