rasputinj.... What sort of sound deadening material did you get? I am definitely interested in this, but with work have been too busy to look around. Thanks for the help.
ps.. hope to take delivery of my justacooper this weekend.

I went with a Second Skin Audio, which is a non Asphalt based sound deadening material. It is a bit expensive but holds up well to head and cold. It also does not smell the Clubman up like Asphalt for a week..

Our Clubman has left the VDC and is headed for LV. Our hotel and flight is not until next week. I am not sure my spouse can make it that long. We are supposed to fly out on Wed of next week.

I am figuring OceanMini, and DesertMini your vehicles should be out to your dealers any day now, or already in route. DesertMini yours could even be on the same truck as ours.

I spoke with my MA earlier today and he said that the ETA is 10/18. If that is accurate then your Clubman might arrive in a couple days.

Our MA said our Clubman could arrive at the dealership last night even...but I'm guessing today is more likely.

Driving back on Saturday? You're not going to take in a little bit of LV?

We spoke to our MA yesterday who said our Clubbie should be at the dealership by this weekend. He said they need a day for check-in, dealer install items, and detailing. We should be getting a call to come in for paperwork and pick-up very shortly.

Hub is concerned that the Owners' Lounge was correct on the delivery date a few days ago (it said 10/19) and now it says 11/7 ... ? I'm hoping that is wrong. The MA seemed pretty convinced it would be arriving this weekend. I don't put much faith in the OL as it's been wrong before.

Cross your fingers and toes! I'm getting very excited to see our baby.

our OL was showing us still en route to vdc as of yesterday. So I would not worry about OL too much. Waiting at airport for plane to LV to get our Clubbie.

Can't wait to see the pics, rasputin! We are anxiously awaiting any news. How did you get so lucky to get yours from LV only four days after it arrived at VDC in Oxnard? Amazing!

A few more days and it will be all mine......... I spoke to my MA this morning and he said Rupert was released to the carrier yesterday. (I knew Rupert would behave and get out of the VDC quick) The OL says delivery date is the 19th-That's what MA says as well, but I am hopeful the truck will move faster than that and it will be here tomorrow. Looks like I will be able to go for a nice Sunday afternoon drive. I will post pics as soon as possible. WOOHOOO

The OL states that the ETA is 10/18. The MCS actually arrived on 10/16. The dealership still needs to detail the car and check it over. Hopefully I will be able to pick it up tomorrow.

A blast?!! We can't stop driving it! Drove it home from Vegas on Saturday (took turns), cleaned it, waxed it and then went motoring yesterday through the canyons and to the beach (Pacific Coast Highway)...soooo much fun to drive.

Yes, we are not over-working the engine just yet...although I'm itching to run it harder - I will have to wait!

Congratulations HTClubman! We're still waiting for the news from the dealer. It's so hard to wait.

You poor thing! I think I nagged our MA to death, he probably just wanted to get me out of his life, so he hurried our car along. I think he was afraid of my 'enthusiasm'! He tried to tell me Thursday that the dealership had 16 cars to process and ours was not towards the top. I told him bluntly to move it up because I would be showing up at the dealership the next day to pick up! Somehow he made it happen .

Absolutely - and on the back. They'll be black, semi-custom. We couldn't get in to have them put on in Vegas until this week, so we just took the car and came home and we'll have it done here. We're also having the clear bra installed. We'll post updated pictures once they're installed!

Congrats on your Clubman Raspuinj an HTClubman. We are still waiting for Hermione, she arrived at the dealer last Friday and will be home on Wednesday. What did you decide with your HL. Are you getting it replaced? Ours has been ordered and I will take the car back in once the HL gets here.

siggiS - we just let it go regarding the HL. They hadn't charged us for it. If we want to change it out later, we can. We're just so happy to have the Tuxman, that we don't care about the HL. Glad you have your game plan down, though.

We will be adding these stripes to our bonnet and boot. Enjoy. http://www.mightystripes.com/PhotoGa...es/0906/1.html

Got the scoop from the dealer about the delay. There was a "flaw in the paint" on the bumper and it's being repainted. I'm kind of bummed about this, but at least it's being corrected at VDC, not at the dealership. I have to wait two more weeks!
