Boy that's some heavy traffic out there My MA said delivery two weeks after date of port arrival assuming smooth passage thru the next step: VDC.

I'm 20 minutes from Port Hueneme and 40 from my dealer. Right smack in the middle. Hope they are out of the VDC ASAP.

 

lol...yeah I know L.A. traffic sucks. I just hope it's smooth sailing through the vdc and they're not back logged or anything. I want my Mini NOW!

still scheduled 2 depart t'row so Im confident our cars, if not already unloaded into the holding area, will be enroute to VDC t'row, it's only a little over a mile from port.

Now things get real cloudy, until the actual day yr MA calls and says delivery is imminent (usually a few days in advance). Unlike having the luxury of a transport to track across the pond, cant do so between vdc and dealer

One more thing: the OL is useless from now until the cars arrive at the dealer. The time is nigh; I pray for safe and fast arrivals.

Who knows Wandrur? If we hadn't dilly-dallied around Galveston and half the PC wasnt under construction, y'd prob would had yr car 'ween weekend...

 

Good News: as of this AM, Isolde has already sailed from PH, that means our cars are on American soil and about to be VDC'd!!

Guess this ends the Isolde thread, eh??

Aye, the truth be told by ye both. We'll remember each other for a while, though, I'm sure. Hopefully we'll even see each other on the road some day, waving away into our MINI glory.

For sure. I think we should all make badges with our NAM names and tag our cars with them somewhere so we might *actually* recognize other NAMers...

I still think Isolde may have made up some lost time between the canal and PH and arrived couple/few days early, and it just did not show the update on the internet. It's happened before.

My MA hasn't even called to tell me when I can pick it up which is weird, b/c I'm super duper close to the vdc! But congrats anywho!

cars going to the western division's distant reaches (seattle, denver, etc) are processed and trucked out before cars for the local markets. But despite this y'll prob get yr cars before we do tho, so it all works out.

 

Perhaps delayed for some QC reason, Wandrur's had a slight nick in his door paint, so they're fixing it there rather than at the dealer, much better prepared to do so.

 

all right! just talked to my MA. My Mini should be ready to pick up late tomorrow!!! Going to be picking it up possibly tomorrow or Friday, depending on work. So freaking excited!

 

Mine was almost ready this Friday...but then they found a nick in the paint on the door at the VDC, so it had to stay for a while longer.
