Looks like I'm on the Isolde as well. Three Colorado cars coming home. It's been a long wait. I was hoping my Mini would be here for Yalla Yalla the local Mini Club's anniversery drive. Alas, it doesn't look like that's in the cards.

My baby is going to Phoenix. Bet they are all on board now. Shes going to need a good rest after 21 days of partying. Its going to be one hell of a hangover.

I already have the link to the Pan Canal so I am going to try and get pictures of the boat going through. If I get really really lucky I might be able to get pictures of the Isolde going past San Diego.

Well back to the waiting game and driving myself nuts over what I want on her.

CHEERS!!

the WWL and W2 websites and links are way interesting, lots of history with this company. Did U know Isolde has a sister ship Tristan? Is anyone here into Wagnerian opera??

Our cars have a tv/movie lounges, jacuzzi, outdfoor swimming pool, and other amenities to enjoy on their journey.

but we really need ya to get to PH asap. Im getting antsy here.

I predict our cars will be ready for delivery mid-late election week, just before the VD holiday weekend, or roughly 2 weeks after Isolde's arrival. It also depends on how much stuff the dealer is doing to yr car as well, Im getting some JCW installed. I ordered my MINI "Syd" from Schomp on 7/15 (right after they gave me a killer trade offer on my problematic R53) and was told up to 120 days max. That's 11/15.

but I waited 10.5 agonizing months in 2004 for my previous MINI, so this doesnt seem as bad, much more efficient.

we were just victimized by the MY switchover and resulting longer wait. nothing we can do except hope for the best kind of journey--fast and safe.

I got an email from my MA at Schomp in Denver today. He said they expect the Isolde to be in CA on Oct. 20. They then have 2 weeks to get the cars to Denver.

I can't wait

Yea my MA is telling me about a week after port maybe a bit longer but Phoenix is a bit closer than CO. Still trying to decide whether I want her to have the JCW Aero kit or not. But I know that Isolde is under way and on the way to the states so the party has begun.

Im still trying to sell my current car since they wont give me what i want out of it. Lots of bargaining to be done and still a month to go so it helps keep my mind off of gettting her. Maybe theyll get here sooning if its smooth sailing.

Oh, the days on the sea are free...

I was trying to think of a pirate or ship-type song, but that's the only line I could come up with.

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.
We extort, we pilfer, we filch, and sack,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
Maraud and embezzle, and even high-jack,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.

I think a little punishment might be in order when they get here

My Mini is listed in my signature.

Hey Bruce, have you worked a lot with AC to design your stripes? I want some custom work and will need to do it long distance.

Cheers!

I called him first and gave him a rough idea. but from then on its been through email. Hes pretty good about it. Sometimes it takes a day to get back to me but i know its only 2 people doing all the work and with all of us Mini nuts I understand.

He's more than willing to do what you want just got to give him sometime and all. Very inspiring and knowledgeable. I would recomend him to anyone. Glad I am getting mine from phoenix. He lives about 30 mins away. Going to cost me a bit more for install but I know he does good work.

Thanks for the advice. I'll have to get a hold of him soon so we can start the
design process.

NP glad to help out us soon to be Mini owners. Granted I dont know how much the custom part of my stickers but i did want a custom color plus a custom silhouette on the back part of my stripes. I figure with all the stickers plus install I will be sitting just south of 1K but I am getting quite a few items some that overlap and all, and that includes install.

Dang I cant wait to see all of our rides when they get here.
