Me, too! Amazing that the ship has come so far in a week but will take until the 16th to get to Charleston...??? Maybe some other stops that I'm not aware of...

How's everyone holding up? Is anticipation building, or have you all plateau-ed out?

I took another weekend break from my obsession, but now that I'm home again, I'm going to go try out my detailing kit on my husband's Miata! It's 80 degrees here this weekend in MI - hope you other northerners are also getting a nice bonus day of summer as well...

 

I thought it looked like we were getting awfully close for a 16th docking. Maybe it will be a day or so early.

From time to time I think I am plateaued out, then I think...leather seats...6 speed...yumyumyum. I'm a little sad to be letting go of Mouse, but he's a fine fellow and someone will appreciate him.

 

Is the Western Highway going straight to Charleston? It's awfully far south of New Jersey, and I had just assumed it was going there first.

 

Oops - yep...Western Highway does stop in Baltimore on Oct 14 before heading on to Charleston. However, I don't think there are any MINIs disembarking there - only in Charleston?

I guess that explains the route!

 

There is a VDC in NJ, maybe they are getting vehicles also. Sure would be nice if it came to SC first like many of the other ships.

 

I was curious why it was heading north of Charleston! Oh well, that explains the 10/16 date. Looks like it may hit Baltimore on 10/13. Give it a day to dock and dump whatever non-MINI cars it has, and then a couple of days to make its way down the coast?

 

Throw those puppies off. It shouldn't take a full day!

 

Looks like the tracking has stopped as of 11:45 yesterday. Wonder if the ship is just sitting off shore or the tracking stops once the ship get close to shore.

 

I hope it has docked at Baltimore and we will find out more when it takes off towards Charleston. Hopefully tomorrow (Tue 10/14)?

 

I think the tracking may just stop when they get close to a port, as you suggest. I remember when I was checking the tracking just after WH left Southy, it still showed the track inbound from a day or two previous. Not sure why that is, but hope they get a move on and get those cars unloaded!

ok it took me a senior moment to figure out where the "Search" tab was so I could actually find the ship but YAY! there she is!

Great, now share, please. I have been putting Western HIghway in the only search function I can find, and it says there's no match.

 

Here's what I've been doing:

1. Go to http://www.shinemicro.com/Logon.asp and log in (accounts are free - doesn't take long to register)
2. Click on "Live AIS Display" at the top, if it doesn't take you to that page automatically
3. Click on the "Google Maps AIS Live Display" link - just above the map image
4. Select the "Search" tab on the left
5. Search by name or MMSI number (372548000)

Looks like the ship hasn't updated since yesterday...they should have to update when the pilot boats are called to take her out. Who thought watching a ship's progress could be so intense?

 

Just noticed the Western Hwy as been moved to 10/17 for the docking in SC. Another ship took the 10/16 spot. Another day delay!!

 

That makes me very sad...I want my Clubman!

 

Can they try to **** people off? Good thing these cars make you smile just looking at them...and smiles turn to big grins when you drive 'em. I REALLY want my new Clubman too!

 

In the greater scheme of things, one more day will not be a big deal. But right now...it seems like an eternity!! Especially after Duncan sat on the dock for 12 days.
