Howdy,
I have learned that an SA is a sales adviser
and
an MA is a motoring adviser
But I can't figure out what the difference is....

Does anybody know?

SA actually stands for Service Advisor if I'm not mistaken.

Correct.
SA = service advisor
MA = motoring advisor, aka, salesperson

At my mini dealer there are sales advisers and motoring advisers. I'd still like to know the difference.

Do you visit your MA when your car needs Service?? He'd Laugh at you and send you on your way to see the "Service Dept."
I've never seen a SA on the Showroom Floor...the MA's live there...visa versa.

Got any questions now??

Yes, I still have a question. If an SA is a service adviser,
I'd still like to know what a sales adviser does.
At my dealer there are two sales advisers and one motoring adviser.
They are listed that way online and on their business cards.
I'd still like to know what the difference is between a sales adviser and a motoring adviser.

Normally at MINI dealerships all sales persons are called MA= Motoring Advisors which are the SAME as Sales Advisers at other dealerships.

If your dealership has both titles listed then you need to contact them and ask them what the difference is and I would expect the answer to be nothing much or that the titles are equivalent.

Service Advisors have nothing to do with sales. They only are involved in Service for repairs or maintenance.

Is your dealership a split BMW/MINI dealership? if so the SA guys might be on he BMW side.

If that's not the case, you need to ask them yourself, as everyone else has suggested.

Any chance at your dealership the sales adviser is in charge of the financing/paperwork for the sale? Just a thought.
