Week 48 Production
My latest deal was ordered over the phone and I thought the MA said week 50....so I was worried about how I would be affected by the December factory closure....anyway called him today and he says I am actually down for week 48 build so with any luck it should be here by Christmas.

Kinda yeah, I work for a BMW/MINI dealership so have access to their system, I check it everyday.
The the rest of you week 48ers should have a VIN and date, just check with your MA.
Or you can wait until Thursday/Friday and it should be updated on the owners website by then.

I think my dealership must also have some open slots. I ordered my Clubman last week, and am in Wk. 48, in production now, est. completion date 11/27.

Did anybody in Week 48 order a MINI with DTC?
My MA suggested that MINI might start building some non-JCW DTC-equipped cars in advance of December to make sure they got all the orders completed by the Dec. 7 shutdown.
I'm asking because:
1. I'm wondering if our MINI *might* get moved up.
2. I'm wondering if there are any other "regular" Coopers with DTC set to be built before or around the same time as ours.
Thanks!
Our local dealer has quite a few... When we ordered our Cooper, it would have supposedly started production the next business day if it wasn't for the delay for DTC.

It STILL doesn't say my car "Scheduled for Production" and ASK MINI told me it was at least a week ago.
BTW, one of the people who were in Week 49 just got their VIN today and their car is in production... so I'm thinking he got moved up, but the Week 48's should be moving along s well.

I'm not sure which week's which anymore...I noticed a VIN number had been added to the owner's lounge later on the 18th but no build date listed. Decided to call the ASK-MINI number on a whim and he tells me it's built and awaiting transport already. He didn't really know, but my guess is they're rushing to pump out as many standing orders as they can before the factory shutdown. Based on my previous experiences, I'm thinking I'll have it easily before Christmas.

They now have my correct colors online and have the seats and bonnets stripes, but the packages and fog lights weren't showing. I did just call ASK MINI and the rep confirmed it's on order, but was unable to give me any more info about the specs. He said I shouldn't worry about the specs online and said my dealer could provide me more info.
OL doesn't show a VIN yet.
Oh, and it should be scheduled to start production next week and be completed between 12/1 and 12/7.
Getting it prior to Christmas is probably pretty "iffy", but maybe.

No, I work for a BMW/MINI Dealership, so I have access to the BMW/MINI computer system. So I can check 20 times a day if I want and not drive my MA crazy or the people at ASK MINI crazy.

What was your estimated completion date before you discovered it had been moved up? Just checking, in case mine just maybe moved up with yours.

It was 10/25 and I though it might be finished before that when they started in the middle of last week. But then my car was in the "Paint Shop" for 4 days. The MINI website says that it is a 10 hour process so I am not sure what happened there. But it is now in "Assembly" and should be done on the 25th, which it has been now for 12 minutes; it's not finished. But I guess they still have 23 hours and 48 minutes.

Let us know if it's actually finished by the end of today. Mine is due to be finished on the 27th, but I haven't been able to get any information about the production status out of the MINI people. Apparently the database hasn't been updated. I'll bother them again when the office opens at 9am. I'm thinking that the correspondence between what the computer shows and the actual status is iffy at best.
I will update when BMW gets their act together.
UPDATE: BMW computer system working
All times take place on 10/25
So my car went from Assembly into quality control at 6:05am.
It was then handed over from the factory people to the sales people at 1:25pm
It then handed over to distribution at 1:25 and 10 seconds pm
It was then handed over to transportation to the port at 1:25 and 15 second pm
It was then dispatched from the factory at 7:50pm and arrived at the port at 10:05pm
It is now sitting at the port waiting for the ship, no estimate yet.
