Just got notice from my MA that 'Sliver' will be in there hands on the 13th and I'll fly down to pick it up on the 16th, off to Seattle on the 17th to pick up the race wheels and Hoosier A6's and home the drive home on the 18th. 2 days of driving before I even return home, now that's how you order a car!

You should have some fun driving home at least! Hopefully the pass isn't terrible crossing over. However it is likely that it wont be worse than the weather you have been getting. 50 plus inches of snow in a week. Hopefully your Mini will be kept nice and warm in the garage. I haven't heard from my MA yet but i'm hoping to pick up my MCS around the same time. The 15th or 16th would be perfect for me. Ill cross my fingers.

I'll be OK, ordered it with LSD, DTC and All-Season Run Flats. And if all else fails I'll stop by Les Schwab and pick up some cable chains before heading over the pass.

Over here all the snow is melting and we're going through some urban flooding. The word is tomorrow is going to be really bad as were not getting to freezing overnight tonight and will be in the 40's for the 1st time in over a month. Might be time to break out the boat!!!

I haven't heard from my MA yet either. We're taking delivery of my wifes car tomorrow so I will hit him up about mine at that time.

I figure it will be next week sometime. We were kinda wanting to take delivery at the same time but it looks like that won't happen. My wife won't let me put her's off for another week.

I emailed my MA today inquiring if he had received a delivery schedule yet. Of course it's his day off. I feel like a five year old at Christmas - hurry!

Don't forget that now is the time to request any special handling at the dealer.

I asked for :
1) NO holes in the front bumper. No plate.
2) NO wax, only minimal prep work. (aka, no swirls please)
3) NO Stickers!

We got the car. My wife loves it. Now she just needs to figure out how everything works. It looks great and was done up real nice.

I will post pictures later on. I'm hungry now and need to go find food. On a sad note my car and several others that came in on the Traviata ship are still sitting at the VDC in California. I'm bummed. I thought they would be on the way by now.

Anyway, I will post pictures later on.

I pick mine up on Tuesday! The car is scheduled to arrive at the dealer on Sunday, but they have all the prep work to do.

No sleep 'till Tuesday!

Hey Neil-

Doesnt CA require a front license plate? I know that WA does however I would certainly rather not put the plate on and drill holes on the front bumper if i did not have to. Let me know if there are any laws getting around this. Also what type of stickers does the dealer place on the vehicle?

Here are the delivery pictures of my wifes PW MCS. The process was quick and painless and the folks at Northwest Mini do a great job. No complaints.

Now if I can figure out how to load these darn things.

This is a picture of me, my lovely wife of 27 years and her new car Dotty

The rest are of Dotty with my wife in here and there. She loves the car by the way.

ECO,

You can purchase an aftermarket plate holder that uses the Tow Hook mounting hole to get away from having holes drilled in the bumper.

Also, many dealers will apply a sticker to your vehicle of their name, free advertising. I myself find this annoying and requested it also not be done.

Reidbaty,

Dealer prep= wash/wax and removal of all protection wrappings, labeling, etc... Probably includes some other stuff...

^^ What he said.

My dealer adds a sticker to the windshield that says "VOTED BEST, NIELLO". It's small, but it bugs me. I asked them to do minimal prep work to minimize the chances of them damaging my paint. My dealer is notorious for bad wash induced swirl marks.

Eco, the dealership sells the plates that everone is referring to. I was told by the dealership that they do not drill any holes into the bumper unless the customer directs them to. I checked with them and verified this.

Regards,

Pat

Got it. Thanks for the info. I will inform them not to add any stickers in the chance they would put some free advertising before my approval.

Yesterday the OL indicated an estimated delivery date of 1/11. Today it says 1/10. Hopefully it got to the dealer today and they were able to get a jump on my prep work. Hopeful, but unlikely.

What does everybody else's OL say?

The OL says it's still at the VDC, but my MA says it is now scheduled for delivery to them on the 12th. I'm flying in Friday for pickup

Hey PAt-

Our must be on the same truck. Mine came in today also. I am waiting for my MA to contact me to schedule a pick-up. Hopefully sooner rather than later. How exciting it is coming to an end, or should I say beginning!

I am sure they are on the same truck. I have an appointment to pick it up on Thursday at 1 pm. It is going to be fun.

I'll get some pictues up as soon as I can.

Talk to you all later.
