Here's hoping they stick "Sliver" on it. She's been sitting on the dock for a week and she's getting bored, VERY BORED!!!

Wow, the Traviata gets around. She delivered my Mini to Port Hueneme in October of this year. Only 2 months ago. Was fun watching her go through the Panama canal and tracking her on the web.

YAY!
I have a Lightning Blue/Silver top, Cooper S Clubman on the TRAVIATA.
It's my second MINI, replacing a 2004 Dark Silver/White top, Cooper S that was totaled in a car accident November 2nd (someone turned left in front of me). Clubman ordered Nov 17th, built Dec 4th. I'm tired of bumming rides!

Im on the Triviata also expected to reach CA on Jan. 4th. How long does it take them to transport the MCS to the final destination - WA? I am hoping it will be in WA in 7 days from porting in CA. Any thoughts?

7 days sounds reasonable including dealer prep. I take it your dealer is NW MINI in Fife? I'll be picking mine up in Portland, driving to Seattle to pick up some race wheel/tires and then back to Spokane.

labor pains

my lil girl is on the traviata, too! cept unlike you guys, she's got half the pacific to traverse after she arrives in cali. she's got a name, but i'm superstitious--don't want to tell anyone but my sweets and a handful of friends until i have her keys in my paws....my MA called me today saying i might have her in mid-january.

EDIT: I'm thinking that since their seems to be only a few MINI's on the ship, they are probably harassing the BMW's about their weight problem!

Nope, got 1 more. My MINI is on this ship as well. My wife's MINI made the earlier boat so we are gong to have 2 deliveries.

My car will be sent to NW MINI as well. I think it may take longer than 7 days to get it from Cali and have it prepped for delivery. I think 7 days may be a bit aggresive. My MA is on vacation now so I can't ask him.

But I feel the wait is coming to a close.

Regards,

Pat

Yeah Pat you are probably right. I was hoping for a weeks transport and prep time but it would likely take longer than this from S. Cali. My MA is on vacation right now also (Likely we have the same one in Fife unless everyone is on vaca). Just another month. I cannot wait!

Yes my MCS will be coming into NW Mini in Fife. Its sounds like you will be driving a little bit for the first week of your Mini. At least youll have your 1200 mile break-in period completed shortly and then you can really play hard

You are correct, 'Sliver' was purpose built with only go fast options (DTC w/eLDC, SS and LSD) as not to add any unecessary weight. Well, I did opt for Hi-Fi so I can listen to some Sammy Hagar while on course

This boat is SLOW. Unload mine in Panama, please. I'll have to FLOWN up.

At least we're enjoying 80 degree weather and mild 4 foot swells.

expect her in honolulu by end of january

got a call from my MA at mini of hawaii today. he told me what i already knew (thx to NAM) -- that my lil baby girl was due in cali today. he said that she could be at the dealership this month and asked me if i wanted to get the paperwork done before or after her arrival. he said it should only take half an hour.

how exciting!
