Lights automatic or not
Confused about the lighting controls and the manual offers no help. WHen I have my lights on and I shut the engine the lights go off. Obviously when I turn the car back on the lights go back on. So are these automatic , can I operate them this way and could it do damage to the battery. My previous cars had automatic lights so I am not used to turning lights on and off. Not whining just asking. If anyone can help that would be great!

go outside today, start your car with the headlights turned on the ****, and the lights will be on day or night. the headlights turn off when the ignition is off. it's nice not to have an annoying chime that you left the headlight on when you shut the car down. you can just leave your headlights switched on without any real consequence to your battery just your headlight bulb life. it's safer anyway to have the headlights on. in fact, if you set day time running lights in the on-board computer, it just leaves your regular headlights on.
if you do want the lights on to unlock your front door or something after you remove the key and get out of the car, pull the stalk and the headlights will stay on for a length of time according to your pathway lighting setting in the on-board computer.

i didn't get auto lights...i think that package is insanely priced and no where near worth the money...regardless. can just the auto lights be added? is that the light sensor on the dash or it a part of the auto wiper "eye"?
any idea what it would cost to add in auto wipers? probably pretty pricey but thought i'd ask. if it's reasonable i'm all over it
