I am getting ready to get new tires for my 07 Cooper. Is there anything I need to do to the TPMS on the wheels. Was told by on places that they needed to rebuild them when they put the tires on.
My 07 does have the tpms I picked her up sept 1 07. have 29k miles on the goodyear ROF tires am not going back with those way to hard and rough ride.It does sound like someone is tring to get some extra cash out of me.

I am runnning Michelin Pilot A/S PLUS (the PLUS is important as the regular Pilot A/S is an inferior tire) on my '09 MCS convertible and love them. Check out reviews, tests at tirerack.com These are V rated with 45,000 mile tread warranty. These are NOT run flats so I have a compressor and sealant (Con ti Comfort Kit from Tire Rack) on board but the ride and low noise is great. I will never get 45k miles but as long as I rotate and balance every 7,500 miles the warranty is prorated and this makes the $180 price tag looks pretty good compared to the near $300 for a run flat.
