Well... Looky looky! The departure time for Elektra has been pushed to 21:45!
Somebody warm up the truck!!!!!
Somebody warm up the truck!!!!!
While I was never as frustrated as you were earlier this morning, I know well the feeling of thinking you might miss the boat. Twiggy didn't get to the dock until all the other cars had been loaded - and it took a couple more hours to show up on the WW cargo listing.
This may be a case where a little knowlege is a dangerous thing!

I just heard that too from my MA. This makes me feel a lot better about the fact that I waited to get my MINI for two weeks!

I've been debating the MINI Select for some time now. I was leaning towards doing it. The low monthly is awesome obviously. I do like the idea of the balloon, barring nothing crazy wrong happening to the little guy.
I was planning on CD'ing the balloon payment to get higher return and know I have it ready and waiting without being able to get into it. This way instead of my return on my bank account going up from dividends and then down with large payments I have a separate account that just goes up with mininal going down on the normal checking. I just like it. Saves me the headache of remembering to transfer to/from my ING account.
But if the 1.9% is indeed happening again I think I'm definetely on that side of the fence.
My MA stinks though. I can't get him to understand that I want him to run a $10k down 36month scenario. He just gives me the company line of $2k 48months. Regardless I'll be going with Select but I like understanding things from their point of view and their calculators which for some reason always differs from mine.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA... 18:00 -> 21:45 -> 22:30
There's gotta be some reason they're delaying. I don't see any activity at Southampton in the last couple hours that's Elektra related. I see a handful of new cars destined for the Tirranna in 3 days. 5 weeks to Australia!!!

It is 23:07 Southampton time, and the Elektra is still at it's berth. There are no tug boats assisting her, so it looks like she will still be there for a while.

I strongly suggest you go to the Owner's Lounge and copy the VIN very carefully and enter it into the tracking site.

I am really disappointed that your car did not make it on the Elektra. I was almost certain it was going to make it. I was checking the forums on my phone all day waiting for the good news. Eventhough your car won't arrive in Texas until the week of 9/21, RayRatt, you, and my friend will most likely pick up the car at the same time. My friend plans to pick her's up on Saturday 9/26. RayRatt's car needs to take a two day truck ride up to Washington State. So just because you are the last to get on the ship, you won't be the last to pick up the car.
