I usually just use www.tinypic.com

You upload the image, and it gives you a forum-friendly link for you to use...

There is a gallery here, but I haven't bothered with it...

Though this is Copenhagen, not Southampton, this gives you an idea of what it looks like right now... Right before the "roll on" ramp gets deployed.

I know two little giddy cars right about now!

Let's hope they don't delay now scheduled 1900 departure. Sunset is at 1935. The various views of the Cowes Harbour cam will show it coming and going ..and...you can left click and move the wheel on your mouse while viewing the Cowes camera to zoom in/out on the image.

Great picture to give me the feel of what's happening right now.

Correction to last post. Make that two giddy cars and one giddy girl.

Where do you see 1900?

I'm still seeing 21:00 - http://www.southamptonvts.co.uk/shipping_movments.asp

I may not know much about the shipping business, but... I'm betting it won't be gone in 5 hours.

Now... whose car will be loaded first??? http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/

I'm one of the 126 cars in booking number GBSOU763958. (none loaded yet!)

Aargh...you're right. Military time gets me everytime.

Looks like there are 53 '09s and 73 '10s to be loaded.

Yes I was, and even in the Owners Lounge, they had it at the Distribution Center. Of course, with Labor Day, who knows how soon it will get on a truck. My husband keeps reminding me that they are not just bringing my car but others too. LOL.

Wow... busy Mini day!

Faust loading cars at Southampton for the East Coast...
Undine offloading cars in Brunswick, GA...
Looks like more cars being Discharged in Fremantle via the Torrens, and Port Kembla via the Tombarra...

Would love to hear from all of the other week 34ers. What plans are you making? Have any immediate short/long trips planned? What place will your MINI hold in the garage? And how do you plan to spend your first day post-dealership?

Congrats to all with unloaded or discharged cars today. How exciting!! To those of us with kiddos boarding Faust....unless I'm mistaken, it looks like departure has been pushed back until Sep 09 at 2100.

Here is a link to a video I posted a while back showing how cars are loaded and secured to a car carrier ship. The video is called, "Loading & Lashing Operations"

I found something cool at the PortArrivals site.

http://www.portarrivals.com/

On the "Vessels" tab up top, I found ship names and all the ports they visited within a year or so.

Elektra

Faust
http://www.portarrivals.com/vsl.asp?item=266260000

Porgy

No love for the Undine???

So, what's up with the 30+ hours in Southampton, Faust???

It's not like you didn't spend 3 days in Bremerhaven earlier this month. Suck it up, load up and go!

If Elektra had done that, I mighta made it!

Where did you find this info?

Did you get to watch the youtube video link I posted? The show tracks a container ship and a car carrier ship through the Panama Canal.

Here is the link again.

The car I am tracking is not even mine. I am tracking it for my friend in Los Angeles.

1800 Panama time = 1800 Central time = 1600 Pacific time.

I don't think I know how to handle times when I don't have to add/subtract.
