Considering Purchase Of 2004 MINI

Looking at buying 1 owner 2004 Mini (5 speed) in Reading, PA area. I've read lots of issues with CVT types. Any major or consistant issues with the 5 speed? Any caveats I should be aware of? The car has 39K miles and the price is $13.5K. It drives very well but if this generation has cronic problems and will nickel and dime me, I'll take a pass. Looking for your knowledge & help here people. I have always driven *** cars with great success. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. HHG

Over the years (including owning Fiats) I have found Consumer Reports April car edition helpful with their actual frequency of repair records indicating problem areas. Might be worth a look.Good Luck.
