Thoughs after 6 weeks
I've had my '09 MCS for 6 weeks now. When I ordered it I didn't know how to even drive a stick.
I love the car. Every morning when I climb in I smile. The interior is amazingly styled and so quirky. If I want to be smooth, it's smooth. If I wanna go rough on him he'll burn the tires through third I'm sure (I only go until 2nd :P). Now that I'm comfortable with the 6 speed it is without a doubt the most enjoyable experience to shift the car and keep control far better than in any automatic I've driven in the last 6 weeks.
Modding was easy so far. The hot side tube was a pain but I was too reluctant to take anything off. Now that it's on and I look back it wasn't really that hard. I should have a rear sway bar at my house sometimes soon (ordered like 2 weeks ago and still don't have it, holidays mess stuff up). The RSB should prove a harder install than anything so far. My favorite mods: CAI from Alta just for the sound and my rear seat delete kit because it looks cool and nobody else has one that I know around here.
What I don't like/should have done:
-Should have ordered MFSW and iPod interface but I'll deal
-Should have gotten the LSD
-The tweeters buzz at speed, will be fixed soon
-My hood scoop had crap in it, when I pulled it off to clean it only two clips work, both on the left. Should be fixed when i get my wheels done under the W+T warranty (Get that)
-My Whalen Shifter **** doesn't sit flush with my boot. It stays taught, but will move up and down with no resistance. I'm thinking of getting a Craven shift well cover for it.
Overall, my first car is proving to be an additively fun car to drive, mod, and enjoy. I'll be Cruisin' for a Cure on Sat 9/13 so come and enjoy it with me.

Agreed
Agreed, MFSW is my license retention device. And iPod/iPhone interface and "charging" is convenient. LSD for 2010 R56 will be an E-Diff, I think 09 may still be the GKN Super LSD as in the R53, I think that AC Schnitzer has a mechanical LSD for R56.

Is the E-diff standard?
