congrats!!! that is wonderful news. i'm still awaiting the arrival of mine. it's very close to US soil. hopefully ours will be in and out of the vdc in no time!

 

I talked to my MA yesterday -- totally wasn't expecting to hear from him, but he was calling to let me know that my Week 40 build may be ready for me to pick up next Friday. I couldn't believe it, since I didn't think my boat was set to arrive in Charleston until the 22nd. I said "Wow, doesn't take very long at the VDC at all," and he said that that it usually doesn't take more than 24 hours.

So, of course, mileage may vary, but that's what I heard.

 

congrats!!! that's great news! i'm sure you're super excited, especially after waiting since july! it's good to know that the vdc is fast. my dealer is only 1 hour away from my vdc in jersey. kinda makes me just wanna drive up there and take my mini off the boat myself! haha post pics on the big day!!!

my MA called today and i'm scheduled to pick up White Chocolate this friday at 3pm!!!!!
i really can't wait. i'm actually gonna be in a conference from wednesday until friday afternoon and most likely won't retain any info
PLUS...originally, i was gonna finance through PNC bank with 4.9%, but he said i fall within the two week period where mini is offering the 3.9% financing so i can go with that. it truly has been a great day.

oh man...she's almost here...

hey sabre, you're in luck. my MA said the financing is through mini so jump on it!. i'm not sure what he meant about the 2 week period, but he said that "mini is offering a 2 week period to get 3.9% financing on 2010 models." also, if you check the miniusa site and go to the financing options, the standard percentage for a 2010 hardtop is 3.9%. i think it increases for convertibles...not sure why

FINALLY!
so i brought her home yesterday. picked her up at 3:15pm and drove off in complete bliss. that evening/slash night i put 180 miles on her!

I have to agree -- I'm not usually a fan of the black wheels, but those look really sharp on Clive!!

 

First weekend and first commute day...over 200 miles and I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!

Top down at 40 degrees with heat at full blast and heated seats on full = more gooder

Paired up the phone and iPod and activated Satellite radio, voice controls work well. Ran him up and down some curvy roads yesterday and took a few corners at speeds I would never have dared in my Honda Odyssey. He sticks like glue and is truly a joy to drive.

Was stopped in a parking lot by a couple who had a lot of questions about him, and did notice he turned some heads.

Hopefully the rest of you see your babies this week! I will definitely get more pictures up soon!
