The Independence is making the turn around the peninnsula.
Didn't look like she's leaving port at first, I think she was turning around with the help of a tug, The Adsteam Surrey.
Now she is definitely southbound.
For those of you following along at home.

Thanks for the loc on the SNH, and it looks like the Independence II went on her way.
Funny thing is that I don't think the Independence picked up any MINIs, from my little bit of scouting on the WW site. (I entered the first four general characters of a VIN with % after it and tracked, then sorted by status date and selected a few samples. Didn't see a single car booked for the Independence II).
Who knows what else they'd be loading onto a Ro-Ro in Southampton, but I think the SNH will be bringing in the east coast MINIs that leave this week.

K-line now has a Global Tracking tool -- the only trick is figuring out what our booking number, BL number, etc. would be:

You did the same thing I did. I couldn't find a single car loaded to the Independence II.
I'm not sure anyone has found a way to determine the BL, or any other ID that works for K-Line.
The VIN certainly doesn't.
So, the SNH arrives at the dock at 23:30 and leaves tomorrow at 1500. Do you agree?
By the way...SNH left anchorage and is now underway and headed into port.

Definitely looks to be the case on the SNH's schedule. Not bad at all! One good thing I've noticed is that the K-line ships seem to make a somewhat faster trip than WW -- fewer port stops, I think.
I feel pretty confident now that our cars will end up on her, since I'm still showing no booking info for mine on the Manon, but I did see a few Bremer cars booked on there earlier.
All this said, I still kinda wonder what the Independence picked up, anyway!

I was thinking the same thing earlier but, at the same time, how often do you really get to track something as exciting as a MINI.
Just found a route diagram for the K-line North American shuttle service, which confirms my guess. Fewer stops, a true shuttle across the Atlantic, so it's a quick trip!

Arrggh. Though my car was supposedly finished on 10/3, it's still not showing up on the WW tracking site. Guess I've got a few more hours, since it's not supposed to leave dock until tomorrow. But I'm getting nervous, since everyone else seems onboard. Hate to miss the cruise! Not to mention waiting another week for the next ship...
Someone, somewhere is testing my patience... Ah well, not like I can do anything about it...

I downloaded Google Earth to check out the marine tracking app. Zoomed in on the Southampton port and what did I find!

mrchairboy,
I wouldn't worry too much. I'm booked on the Turandot, but I don't believe anybody has been loaded up yet, since she should still be on her way there

per http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shiplocations.phtml, TURANDOT is heading west through English Channel to pick up our MINIs from Southampton tomorrow morning...

Anyone else on Undine? Nearly 24 hours since her last reported ship position southeast of Plymouth.
I have to admit it sure is fun to watch the positions get updated!
(just checked again and Undine's now cruising at 33 knots out on the Atlantic...this week is going to DRAG...)

So I get home to continue my tracking and low and behold the arrival port my MA said my car was going to is not what my Vehicle Inquiry Report has on it. I'm bound for Brunswick, GA.
The Independence II is headed there, but WWL doesn't show I was loaded up. So I guess that means Manon on the 13th.
I've heard that sometimes it takes a while to update. I hope that's the case.
At least I can be certain of the line of ships I'm on. Now which one?
What a rollercoaster day.
