Taking Delivery Soon - What to Expect

Taking Delivery Soon - What to Expect
My 2010 MCS is somewhere between the VDC and the dealer, and I am just getting ready for the big day.
What can I expect when I take delivery? Not only is this the first time I've ever ordered a car from the factory, this is my first time buying a car at a dealership, as all of my previous cars have been hand-me-downs or classified ad finds. Will they try to sell me anything extra? How long does it normally take? (I'm already planning on taking some time off from work to go deal with the DMV, etc.) Besides my checkbook and proof of insurance, is there anything else I need to bring?
Also, I'm buying in VA, but live in DC. Will I need to jump through extra hoops with sales tax? i.e. will I pay VA sales tax or the DC sales tax? I already know about the DC excise tax (6%). Luckily Uncle Sam will help out with the taxes!

They will try and sell you Tire/Wheel Insurance, Extended Warranty and Extended Maintenance all seperate programs. I wouldn't consider any of they unless you are blind and hit the curb and pot holes a lot and plan on putting a lot of miles on your car. Plan on taking 1.5 to 2 hours because you need to carefully inspect the car for repaired damage (ie: dents, dings) bad paint etc. Drive the car and make sure no lights come on, no vibrations (ie: tires) and car doesn't pull to a side. The actual paperwork is about 10-15 minutes. Make sure they explain the service intervals and loaner car policy.
Can't help on the sales tax, I've never bought out of state. Good luck, I've had my 2010 for 3 weeks and it's a blast.

Piggybacking on your post to ask a really simple, related question.
Do you get an Aux cable with your car?
I'm not currently using an aux cable in my current car, so it'd be no big deal to go pick one up from Radio Shack if I need to, but I was just curious if a cable happens to come with the Premium pack.
