Windshield

Looking for advise. I have a badly pitted windshield (2004-S hatchback) from a lot of desert driving. Any advice? Should I go with a ppg replacement or pay the extra bucks for a dealer OEM windshield. Safelite or delaer? Any idea of installed cost in both scenarios?

Had ours replaced with the PPG windshield - appears to be much tougher than the original.

PPG and Safelite on the 06 MCS over a year ago. No problems.

The dealer is just going to outsource the work to Safelite or someone similar. Save the cash and just go direct. I have a PPG windshield that's lasted 3 years. My original OEM lasted 3 months

Thanks to all who replied.

As a new owner of an '04 Mini-S, I'm just learning my way around.

I talked to both Safelite and the Acura dealer where I purchased. Safelite recommends the PPG glass. The dealer will sell me the glass at his cost through Safelite. If I can get the same good quality glass from Safelite via the dealer, that's the way I'll go. I have not contacted the Mini dealer, but understand that the logo glass is very pricey. Thanks again all. Have a wonderful holiday.
