Cooper S owner since 2005 - 1st post

About time I say. My first car was a 1972 Morris Traveler Mini - cost 50 GBP. Having changed between various Chrysler cars every six months for 12 years, the first thing I did when leaving was buy a brand new 2006 British Racing Green Mini Cooper S.

At 3.5yrs and 48K miles I did the 2nd service my self, including a brake job (Mintex Red) - except the serpentine belt. Now the motor mount is shot again (first one was under warranty).

The new mount is on order from IwantAutoparts.com. While I'm doing that I think a 15% pulley and new belt is in order. I'm looking at the Helix - good price and they lend a pulley plate also.

How did everything work out with your IwantAutoparts.com order? I can't seem to find any reviews of the place and their prices for parts and shipping are good enough to make me wonder...

I must say, I love the classic look of the British Racing Green MINI's with the white roofs. I have an 06 MCS that is Chili Red with a Chili Red Roof, my next MINI will probably be British Racing Green!!!

Happy Motorin!

AndrewPDraper, in my hopes to find out about IwantAutoparts.com, I failed to welcome you!

Welcome! I agree completely with ufomini - BRG is awesome!
