Probably a silly question

I'm new to the MINI world. 04 MCS. There are two buttons on the dash, one on each side of the speedometer. The one on the right is the hazzard lights I believe. What is the one on the left? I can't find it anywhere in the manual.

Everything on your dash is documented in the manual. You should just sit down one day and read it thoroughly to get familiar with your new car and so you don't miss out on anything. (RTFM )

But it's probably the button which changes the dash illumination intensity.

Yes, the one on the left controls the dash lights.

Tapping the one on the left will make the dash lights brighter, holding it will make them dim.

Wow, I hate to admit this but I've owned my MINI for years and didn't know what that button controlled.
Thanks!
