My boy is currently expected to be produced during week 6 (Feb 8) and I was wondering if anybody else out there was waiting with me. I noticed that as soon as the order was placed time started to sloooowwww waaaayyyy doooowwwnnnnnn.

The object of my obsession?

2010 MCS, stick shift, Mayfair edition, pepper white w/ black roof, toffee bonnet stripes, toffee interior, chrome inside and out (including bonnet scoop), convenience and cold weather packages, white turn signals, h/k sound system, auto AC, anthracite headliner.

I'll pick him up at Crown Mini in Richmond, so he'll come in through NYC.

 

Wow, the first weekly support group this year. That sounds like it will be a nice looking MINI.Congratulations!

 

It will be worth the wait! I ordered almost the exact combo in Oct & picked her up just before Christmas. The PW with the Mayfair package is a great look. You will be pleased! The anthracite headliner is a must....the interior would be "off" without it!! Heres to time passing quickly!

 

That is an awesome combo I did not know you could get the mayfair edition with anything other than the chocolate brown.

I ordered my Clubman a few weeks ago and it completed the build on Feb 2nd and is now waiting at the port for a ship. I know I am not in week 6 but would you mind if I join the group for the much needed mental support. February is going to be a long month waiting for our MINIs.

Week 5, 6, 7 whatever. How about the "Some Week In February Support Group"? I think "back in the day" there were so many people ordering and the waiting time was so long, it made sense to have individual weeks. Now I think there would just be a handful for each week.

Good news for me - my production week was moved back from what was supposed to be this week to last week. As of Monday, I had finished QA and had been handed over for transport. There's no way it could have made it down to Southampton to catch the Elektra (even though I had dreams of some good-hearterd Mini worker blasting down the M3 like Jason Bourne and jumping the car from the dock on to the boat just as it was pulling away).

From what I can see, the next boat that would be a possibility is the Don Carlos, which is supposed to leave on the 15th.

 

Good point and I like the sound of "Some week in February Support Group" putting a tight date seems to exclude people and is not therapy about being inclusive and accepting.

I love those Toffee stripes you are getting on the Mayfair, I wish they would have offered them on the clubman with the chocolate brown. My MA is actually looking into getting me a set and putting them on the Clubman, hope he comes thru for me on that one.

 

I hope all our Minis get aboard the Don Carlos and we can keep each other up to date.

 

Have either of you called your MA to ask if it made it on the Elektra after all? If it had been waiting at the docks, you would think they would have put it on. I wouldn't think they would want inventory just hanging around.

866-Ask Mini is no help at this stage - it seems your MA is the way to go from what others have told me.

 

My MA notified me that my pure silver justacooper is on the Elektra. The ship left Southhampton late on the 8th and is in the channel now.

 

For those who made it on to the Elektra, congrats!

Hope this storm that just went through don't give to much rough seas. Her car started production on the 23rd of Jan and finished Feb 1. Hope to get her soon.

Mine is on the Shanghai Highway too!!

My 06 Mini shipped via Wallenius Wilhelmsen, and you could track it very easily. This Shanghai Highway ship must be a different carrier, because I can't find it on the WW site.

Anyone know how to track this ship? Who's the carrier?

 

My JCW BRG Clubman completed production on Feb 5th and is currently waiting at the port hopefully it will get on whatever ship leaves on the 16th. I would really like to have it before AMVIV
