Snow MINI
So I picked up my 2010 Cooper S yesterday at noon in Alexandria, VA. I drove around the Washington beltway to my office just as the Federal Govt. told all staff to get the heck out of the office. I think my top speed was 20 MPH. Then I headed home to Annapolis just as things started to get really slick. It was a great first drive ;-).
I especially like the color choices I made. Opinions?

The MINI is much better in the snow than the BMW even considering I cheaped out and got all-season tires rather than a second set of snow tires (at least assuming it stops snowing like this).
I had a bad experience with my set of snows for the BMW (which were essential to even getting it out of my driveway when it snowed). Last Fall I had snows on the rear on crappy wheels and summers on the front on my nice wheels and the other two of each set stacked in the driveway next to the car. Someone stole the whole stack - wheels, tires, and all. I rearranged the remaining wheels and put the nice ones on the driver side and the crappy ones on the passenger side.
We have about 30". The MINI is not leaving the driveway for a week. I thought I'd never get the Honda Pilot in 4WD LOW back in the driveway when I took it out for 5 mins this afternoon.

Got 24 + inches and the MINI Clubbie is hiding! This snow was deeper than the December 2009 snow. It will take many days to dig out, not to mention I am not about to drive the Clubbie until the snow on the roads goes away - 24" of snow on the road the Clubbie would become a submarine! In the picture below the MINI is on the right!
