hi everyone, I'm glad I found this community of mini owners.
I'm from Mexico, and I'm a new proud owner of a R53 JCW 2006,

here are some of the pictures, the car only has 13000 kms,(8125 Mi), and it's a pretty fast little car.

sweet JCW!! Love the white/black look. It would looks sweet if it had a black roof, but thats just my opinion. Happy Motoring

 

Very nice and very clean congrats. Are there many MINIs in your area?

I was in San Juan, Puerto Rico on holiday a few weeks ago. I only saw R53 Coopers. Not one R56 or newer MINIs, no convertibles or Clubman's either.

They look just like the Euro Spec GP seats minus the all black w/ red stitching.

I didn't even notice the seats... Those look sweet. Bet they are a pretty price at the dealer.

 

Freight shipping, VAT and import tax, make it expesive.
And MINI nor Recaro never brought those seats to the US market.

yes, there are quite few mini's in Monterrey, but you don't see many JCW.. these are a little strange and pricey..

Yes they are!, and this where an option on the mini too, a little expensive but they are really nice!. maybe I can help you get some info from the dealer about this seats.. but they must cost a lot..

Hmmm... you think we can put NAFTA to work for us here and import the JCW Recaros from a MX dealer --> US / CAN duty free?

 

Yes we would much appreciate that, if you could find out how much they go for a set and if they offer all panther black with red stitching. Or if they can source them. Also pics of the back of the Recaro seats would be nice, thanks.

Welcome to NAM!! I used to live in Mexico City while growing up. We would always stop in Monterrey to eat while driving to the USA.

I found all the MINI dealers on MINI Mexico website not one of their dealers contact info has an email. But there is a dealer in TJ, Esher MINI, formerly Barone Auto.

 

Has anybody determined if it is any way possible to get these seats?

Would they fit in an R56?
