The Morning Celine is in Georgia today. About two more weeks until it arrives in Los Angeles.

 

My MA called first thing this morning. I get to meet my Mini tomorrow!!!! I'm working a half day & then going to finalize paperwork & pick him/her up. I have a few names in mind, but need to do some motoring to see what fits.

Hang in there everyone! You're getting there - every minute that goes by is one more minute closer to getting your MINI's. I know, not much consolation. Thought I would share this cute picture. My dad is now legally blind so I go down once a week to run errands, read mail etc. for him. This was the first time with the MINI. He loved it! We were motoring with the top down and he had a blast. When we got back to his house, I had him get in the drivers seat for a picture. Notice his hair standing straight up!

Congratulations! Enjoy the inaugural ride! It is going to be Friday, so just make sure they give you a full tank of gas and keep on running until you need to fill up again. Make a long weekend of it.

Loving it. It's a lot to take in over just a day or so but I have already found how much fun the car is... And then you turn on the "Sport" button and the fun goes from wow to WOW! The MCS comes alive in sport mode. With sport mode off it's a great 'cruisin' driver, with the sport mode on it's a demon!

 

The Tijuca has (finally) reached Baltimore!!!!

I've been super patient. By MINI finished production in the third week of March, then took a week to get on the WW Don Juan. When I found her VIN on their site it'd already passed Panama, so I was refreshing the tracking site every few hours looking for the ship status. Last night the ship departed Port Hueneme, and was delivered to BMW this morning at 8am. I suppose I probably have at least another week to see her. It seems like I've been waiting forever.

 

erinbr, Your MINI is going to be perfect for you. When you ordered, you picked out exactly the right car. I think all of us have doubts as we're waiting. About color, style, options. But as soon as you pick it up, you know you chose perfectly for you!
