is it weird because you didn't order the JCW Brakes and Suspension, or weird that they are going to install them at the port? If it's the latter then it's ok because those are accessories that the dealer orders from miniusa and they install at the port. It's actually better that they install at the port because it's cheaper than having them installed at the dealer.

Home at last... It started to rain, but at least we were able to work with the MA to get everything done. Yay!!

The red Mini is being detailed soon... needs it so bad... the wheels are filthy

How is everyone else progressing? There should be an easy way to see who is on each boat, and where the boat is... sounds like a new feature for NAM

Congrats on the new HzB MC, looks nice! I pick up mine Friday if all goes well. I can't wait! Faust is just due south of Montauk. I think it is scheduled to dock just after midnight. SO CLOSE!

Congratulations erinbr! Those are some beautiful babies you got there!

Looks like the Faust is getting close! I've been trying to track it on the Marinetraffic website, but it's kinda tricky using my iPod at work.

For all waiting on the K Line ship - Shanghai Highway...it moored, 5 minutes ago, in the Port of Brunswick. Our Clubman should be at the dealer in a few days.

Faust has arrived in New York as well! So far for my VIN it says 'Customs Release' but it doesn't say if it's been unloaded yet.

Yay! w2global shows my status as 'discharged'! My baby is officially on U.S. soil! How will I sleep?! How will I get any work done?!

MINI really ought to send you a snapshot at each stage of the car's journey
1) exiting production/qa
2) boarding the transport
3) disembarking
4) getting on the auto carrier
5) arriving at your dealership

Also, there's so much sophisticated electronics, they could have the car email you each step of the way. The possibilities are endless!

Mine took two days to show that it had been unloaded... even though the boat had long since left. Rest assured it has a straightline view of the Statue of Liberty

That should be it for boats.

Though people on the West Coast and Hawaii are still waiting for the Morning Celine, which just passed through the Panama Canal today. One more week.

Congratulations everyone!!!!! christo4ferris, I had an awful time concentrating and it got worse the closer my MINI got!!! Good luck with that - I have no good pointers!
