Absolutely gorgeous. It's funny.. no matter what the color - red, blue, green, white, or any of the others - you can't go wrong.

But... I'm one of the few without stripes. Guess I'll have to start investigating the aftermarket kits...

 

You know, this was why I had so much trouble picking a color. They look good in every color. It made it very hard for me. In the end I went with black. It's the color my dog picked anyway.

I don't have stripes either. I need to find someone to do purple stripes.

We ordered our Midnight Black Cooper S convertible on March 24th, and the car landed in Halifax yesterday morning, May 10th. The WW site shows a "liner release" at 9:23 and "discharged" at 18:39!

It came aboard the Elektra from Southampton, anyone else here on Voyage Number CA017-ELX?

Now the car disappears into the CN Rail void.... how long before it gets to Ottawa? Anyone else know the sequence of event from now on?

 

My stripes will be the black racing stripes like on my signature. They will be on before I pick the car up next Thursday.

 

Additional information from WW. Status update now shows "Delivered from" at 9:30 am.

Is it with CN Rail or is it at the VDC?

It's probably at the VDC. Mine took several days before being loaded onto a railcar at Halifax in April. I've read elsewhere that 5 days between unloading and then loading onto a train is considered 'normal'.

 

Looks great! I really liked the pepper white. Your stripes will really make the color pop as well.

It's not. I am flying down to pick it up and I wanted to make sure I gave them plenty of time. My MA has been in contact with me the whole time.

 

You guys have such patience... I was squirming in my seat until delivery day.

The good thing is that you chose the right time of year to order - your car will arrive when the nice weather is just starting to kick in. We can all enjoy a few nice seasons of driving. Sure beats ordering in September, and your car arriving in November. Snow for many of us!

 

Wow... It got pretty quiet in here! Everybody must be out enjoying their MINIs except for the couple of us still waiting...

 

I'm still waiting! Ugh. Supposed to arrive in Hawaii today, and scheduled pick up on Tuesday if so.

I saw a blue (possibly Purple Haze) Mini yesterday and a yellow today. Just made me more anxious.

 

Sherlock is sitting on the lot waiting patiently. He has his stripes now and I pick him up Thursday. Will post pics.

Kind of late posting in this thread as my Mini arrived a while back, but I haven't! I'm finally waiting on a flight out of Iraq so I can come home and play with my new car for the first time! :D
