Made it on the MORNING CELINE today. ETA to Port Hueneme, CA is 05-05-2010. Then off to Hawaii from there.

 

Our second Mini is also on the Tijuca, also headed for NY... they'll get off the boat together

I don't believe the K-Line goes to NY anyways, so you didn't miss anything...

I'm looking forward to getting my mini all to myself now, and not having to argue over driving it... lol

Aaronvb, I'm sorry you missed the Tijuca.. the boat must have filled up. You'll be right behind us, though. We'll be waving to you!

I know that waiting for mine just to cross the N. Atlantic was long enough.

I'm guessing that you're hoping to have it by the end of May?

 

AFAIK the Tijuca doesn't go to Port Hueneme, CA. The next available ship that goes there is the Celine, which I made by 1 day. I was actually worried I wouldn't make that.


I was told by my MA to expect it in June. ETA to CA is May 5th, but I'm not sure how long it takes to go from CA to Hawaii. I know from a few friends who've shipped cars from CA to HI with Matson, it can take 2-3 weeks. Hopefully MINI can get it here sooner! And yes, it's very tough!

Yep, getting mine through Otto's as well. AFAIK it's scheduled to be complete tomorrow. I'm going to ping my MA and call MINI hotline tomorrow to confirm!

Any idea when yours will arrive at the dealer?

 

I checked the W&W site again, and it looks like I'm getting off in Baltimore, MD 2 days later??? Baltimore is one hour closer to Chicago than New York, but coming in 2 days later really negates that difference...

This waiting game must end!

 

I mistakenly posted this to the 'How to track your MINI' thread but I figured I'd share the news with my support group as well: Just found out my MINI completed production today and is awaiting transport!!!

 

I just got word that "Blue Meanie" completed production today and is headed to the port. ASK-MINI had no information regarding which transport (to NY) it might get on, because it was not yet at the port.

The anticipation is killing me!

 

Oh, right - I missed that part of the schedule. Well, you'll still be behind us, and we'll be egging you on to catch up with us!

 

Gratz! Have you looked at the schedules? Any idea which boat you might catch?

 

Which dealer did you purchase your Mini from? Both of mine are from Peabody.

Bought my Chili Red MCS from Peabody, but it's too damned far for service, so I decided to buy this one from Inskip in Warwick.

I'm literally right on the border between Northbridge and Upton;-) Nice taste in colors:-)

 

Wee! My dad just told me my car is supposed to show up at the dealer today and he'll get me some pictures on friday! I already knew it would show up before I get home but hearing this, now I really can't wait to get out of here!

 

I'm so late to the thread! Ordered on March 6, ended up with build week 14. My MA has been awesome with the updates. Much more often than the OL. I do know that my Mini is on the boat!!!! and I should have it next week. I only found this thread while trying to find out which boat/how to track the boat. I just need my VIN.

I'll work on the sig update later, but for now: it's BRG, convertible, H/K stereo, cold weather package. I can't wait! The weather is warming up here in NJ.

Hey a couple more Mass folks, how nice! I'm originally from MA, from Springfield. I'm moving to the Boston area in May and I'll be getting my MINI from Herb Chambers when I get there. Have you guys checked out the Mass Motoring Club at all? Maybe I'll see you guys out on the road!

Okay, all you people that have MINI's on the Morning Celine check this out. According to the Sailwx.info website, as of 0201 this morning, our ship has left Southampton and is in the English Channel on the way to us. Yee Hah!!

 

FYI, I've found http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/ to be the best way to track ships... you can watch the Celine on her way out...
