Welcome. You'll love driving your Mini and most of everything needs maintenance and/or repair is discussed in detail in these forums.

I change my oil every 5000 miles with either Mobil 1 5-30 or German Castrol 0-30. I re-torque my plugs each time and check fluids as well as lubricate hinges and such. Brake and Trans fluid changes I do in the spring. Antifreeze fluid exchange in the fall. And a belt every 50,000 miles. Yours is new so everything should be covered by the dealer and is a bit different than my 2003 R53. [MINIINHD[/QUOTE]

Get a Bentley manual, subscribe to MC2 and become a regular in these forums and everything will become crystal clear.

Either works. Ramps are easiest for oil. A jack and jack stands for brakes and such.
