Hello everyone, I'm just checking in because I recently purchased a 2004 Mini Cooper S and am very happy with it. The original owner took care of it very well which is a testament to the type of people that drive this car. I've already read through a few threads and everyone is very helpful! I'm sure I'll be on this site a lot.
kerwin: Where did you go!? Your post count is still one! Just poking at cha!
Enjoy NAM! Good group here and lots of good info! (Although sometimes you have to weed through it.) Regardless, let me know we ALTA-ians can help at all!

Welcome! I just bought my used '04 MCS in November and am loving it, too!
It had 75k miles, so I've needed to spend some money on maintenance and repairs, but still far cheaper than a new one.
Yes, far cheaper than a new one. I actually test drove a used '09 MCS and aside from a few bells and whistles that I don't really care for, I couldn't rationalize spending $10K more (I'm sure those that own R56's can tell me the advantages of the newer model).
