I purchased a 2010 Mini Cooper Clubman S about 6 weeks ago and I am thoroughly enjoying the car. My first car in the 1970s was a VW Superbeetle - not a lot of power but it started my love for small cars and standard transmission. I began watching the Minis in about 2004 and almost bought a used Mini Cooper S a few years ago. I finally decided to trade in my Honda Fit for the Clubman. The Fit was a handy little car. But, the driving characteristics of the Mini are everything that people describe. For me it is the perfect union of premium features, good gas mileage and fabulous driving characteristics.

At least you discovered the forum right away --good job! I wish I could say the same, but in the earlier days of MINIs forums weren't as common I think. Anyway, they are a great source of both info and entertainment. Almost any and every question I've had about my MCS has been answered on this or my local club forum. Enjoy motoring in you new MCSC --those are great cars

One area that I am digging into now is the whole issue of tires (runflats versus regular and nitrogen versus air). I put about 25-30K a year on my car so I figure I will start doing the research now.

I find myself opting for the twisty roads home from work these days.
