Replacement for my SVT

This is my first MINI. I didnt think anything could ever put a smile on my face like the Focus SVT. I have been wanting to replace the SVT every since the day I sold it.Well I think the MINI has done the trick. there is still something missing that I cant exactly put my finger on yet but all in all I love driving her. Equally important my wife loves driving it. I love the site and look forward to attending some of the MINI events...

Ah yes Im sorry about that...It is a 2003 S model 69k miles all stock as far as I can tell (except rims and tires). It is blue with a white top and white stripes. I will be probably be adding the CAI and pulley but trying to do a little more research before making the purchase (as far as what brand to buy). The car has the HK stereo (which I think the drivers door speaker now has a loose connection) , heated seats , sunroof , DSC , and someone added a set of american racing wheels with proxy tires (which I am guessing are heavy as he11)

I really enjoy driving the car but the trans seems to be a little stiff to shift at times and lacking a little power. I think The CAI and pulley will take care of the power but I am still trying to do a little research on the trans shifting issue. The SVT used the 6 spd getrag tranny as well and it was also very notchy to shift but not as bad as the MINI. I am sure there is an easy fix to at least reduce the issue but I have not had a lot of time lately to research it

Welcome to the forum, haven't heard that many complaints about the manual transmission, hope you find the problem and get cured soon.

I guess I should have been more specific...I wouldnt actually say the trans is a problem...I think all newer cars have crappy shifters and feel notchy. The stiffness seems to be going away the more the car is driven.I could be wrong but I am starting to think this car sat for a while.
