Hello
So I got a 2009 MCS. It has the mini certified extended warranty. Automatic transmission because the girlfriend refuses to drive a stick. I live in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Adding the JCW Strut Brace which I bought used and will add the mini rooftop rack for bikes, etc. The mirrors are back to black instead of the silver. Pano roof, Hifi and cold weather package. Not going to go crazy with mods but will do some stuff to make it mine.
This is my first mini. Previous cars have been a G6 hardtop convertible, 1980 L82 corvette, miata, Saab Viggen, Chevy S10, Ford Escape EXP, some Eagle car, Landcruiser and a Chevy Celebrity Station Wagon.

Hi axle and welcome to the NAMily!
Grats on getting a MINI!
Be prepared now, cause your life is about to change!
All those other vehicles you've owned (G6 hardtop convertible, 1980 L82 corvette, miata, Saab Viggen, Chevy S10, Ford Escape EXP, some Eagle car, Landcruiser and a Chevy Celebrity Station Wagon) cannot deliver the amount of driving pleasure that a MINI can! NOT ONE (though the Miata might be somewhat close)!
Your MINI will leave you smiling like an idiot and wanting more everytime you step out from behind the wheel... yes its that good!
Glad that you posted pics of your MINI to share with your NAMily, I'm sure all your new brothers & sisters appreciate your thoughtfulness!
I love the color of your MINI (though I'm a bit biased )!
OK... enough talk... get out there and MOTOR! Ahead of you and your MINI lie many miles and smiles!
Go get 'em!

Welcome to the forum, you really won't regret the slush box, slip into manual and pretend you are a Grand Prix driver with your paddles or the shift lever, or when you are stuck in traffic let the computer do the work while you relax your left leg and be glad you don't have to worry about a clutch job!

trying to decide on some rims something like this https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ate/1249768814
or something like this https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...t/12787/cat/46
If I go with the anthracite or some black rims I think I will black out the chrome - if I go with the silver rims I will likely leave the chrome alone.
Also considering a stripe - just on the driver side black on bonnet and red on roof.
I would like to lower it but I think with NYC roads I will leave it at the standard height.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ate/1249768814
i think my currents are 195/55/16 versus 205/50/16
I don't know anything about offset etc.
These are coming off an a 2010 and mine is 2009.
