Hello from SW Ohio
Hello everyone! I'm John from Centerville, OH, just south of Dayton and have been interested in the MINI since 2002. I have always wanted one, but just never had the chance to get one. But now I'm in the market for a small car with great MPG and fun to drive, and after all of my searching, a MINI seems to fit the bill. And with the Countryman coming out, having a 4 door MINI could finally happen if we can afford it. I plan to buy sometime between now and tax time next year, depending on how well this new job goes.
So, I hope to learn much more about these cars and maybe get to know some local people here.
C-ya!

Hello! You've definitely come to the right site for lots of info and really great people. Ask a question and you'll get several answers in no time fast. Use the search function and be prepared to set aside hours of reading time.
Hope you're able to get a MINI so we can all admire it with ya.

I looked at the Countryman in some detail at MTTS Denver. Most of what I saw exuded with MINI coolness, which I believe will make this rather unique vehicle the most popular Mini in the US. The All4 S version was sporty, and the size of the vehicle seemed just right for daily chores. My only concern is acceleration with the 1.6L motor, but the published stats look pretty good. Fortunately the Countryman will get MINI's newest engine that produces more torque and power over the previous engine. Let’s just say the Countryman may just be the first maxi-MINI. It basically looks like a Cooper on steroids.
