2011 MCCS Order DONE!!
Yup, just got home a few hours ago from the dealer, MINI of Sterling, with nothing more than a long wait for my great build. It's been a long couple of months going from searching for a 2010 to deciding on a 2011 to a few trips of negotiating and near tears. But, the order is in and I was able to snag a production number and spot in line by them modifying an already placed order and it should be here by the first week of October Can't wait to start motoring!!

Well congrats on your impending 2011 build, I know it will certainly be worth the wait and all the effort and tears! I cannot wait to see what the '11's will look like, so I'll be eager to see your pix! And might I say I commend you in your taste, since Laser Blue is the fairest colour in all the land. It's not opinion, but mere fact! Hope the wait isn't too long, and may the twisties be with you, always. Don't forget to wave.

Thanks! I labored over silver or black roof, but I just always thought the back looked odd with the silver, the black makes the blue really pop, and this way it matches the trim. I may get some silver stripes on there though, give it a pop. Dunno. It's coming with black bonnets, so we'll see
Now to just figure out how to track it..

Thanks! I saw one in my work parking garage this morning and just giggled knowing my baby is on the way. I talked to ASKMINI this afternoon and I had a "Scheduled for Daily Pack Production" and the (very nice!!) lady said it should be begin production by the end of the week However, with this weekend and Monday being a holiday, looks like build time will be a bit longer
Looking forward to start waving by the end of the month hopefully! Too bad DC-folk aren't very warm and fuzzy people

Oh I will be waving, trust me. It'll make me warm and fuzzy and that's all that counts And I've been to Boston a few times, only city that's colder than DC, in every way
Does the production plant run over the weekend? I just realized that UK has their Labo(u)r Day on a different day than us, but then again, I was in London over Memorial Day and it was a "bank holiday" because US markets were shut down, and evveerryytthhiinngg was closed. It was worse than a Sunday!
