finally(after SUPER LONG WAIT since November 8) I got my Production number today.
I tried to check the production number online, however it doesnt seem to recognize my production number yet.

Yesterday, I went to the dealer nearby and saw JCW in stock. I took it for test drive that JCW(2009 Preowned)with JCW Aero Kit on it, and that thing felt like MONSTER. And I was very close to just take her home instead of all this waiting. but I resisted strongly for that temptation..
(Just hope that I would be able to get it before this year ends).

btw, Now I have one questions, Should I just go with Black Leather Seat($1500) or just downgrade it Leatherette option?
I've been hearing that Leatherette is very durable and it would last longer than real leather. Not only that, the feeling of Leatherette is not bad at all.

Should I just cancel that leather and use that money towards getting JCW Aero Kit instead? what do you guys think?

thanks.

2011 JCW on order

Oh, I think that you'll be happy with the 2011 when it gets here, and well worth the wait. As for your questioning the leather vs the imitation leather, that's a tough one. I went with the Red leather with Black cloth and really like it alot. Also, I'm one of the few, I guess, but I like the refreshed exterior of the 2011, with it's brake ducts and larger better looking, again in my estimation, rear fog lights. I, never have been one that liked the rear of the JCW aero package, I like the latest generation of the JCW front and side, but not the rear end. Also, they use the old, smaller rear fog lights, too.

And, I know that they claim that they didn't upgrade the current JCW motor, but it feels stronger when I compared mine with a 2009 that I have driven from Eastern Iowa. Or, maybe because mine is mine, I think it is stronger, and that's not in sport mode, either.

Keep the faith, mine was ordered on September 8th, and wasn't finished with the build until October 5th, so I would assume that you have an order for something that they are out of stock on. That was my case, as I ordered the Chili Red interior trim. It was worth the wait, as you will find out too.

I got leatherette but I think the upgraded seats are a little more comfortable. My Club was ordered 1 Nov and completed production on the 24 and as far as I can tell it's still sitting at the port. With the 13 day boat ride and up to a week getting the dealer, getting it this month is iffy.

We went with leatherette. Cloth is tough to clean (even the weatherproof stuff in the Element we had) and leather is precious and similarly hard to clean. We have a toddler, so...

I had the Pleather on my 2010 and it is great. To me I do not see the advantage of real leather. Doesn't wear as well and I would spent the money on performace instead. I ordered mine in mid Nov and it was completed 10 days later. Sitting at the dock waiting for a boat.

Leather surely feels nicer and more comfortable with the smell of leather but would that leather(black punch) would hold well with heating seat even after 10 years?

I have leather in all my other cars and I do not see a whole lot of difference.
If you want the leather smell go to the Yankee Candle store and they have a car air freshener that smell like leather. I even have it my cars with Leather interiors so you alway have that strong leather smell. They work great.

MA says Mini still at port waiting boat ride. Thats 10 today. Is that normal?
The wait is very hard knowing the car is just sitting there. Maybe I will try and find one out there, I don't mind driving a long way.

There is a boat coming on the 8th. Well to the NYC port. Not sure if you are the west coast. Mine is at the port too, since the 30th of Nov. Hope to make it on that boat. If you are east coast, to NYC port, then you just missed one boat the 28th (Mignon) (if your mini got there on the 25th, would be 10 days ago), next boat to NYC after that is the Fideilo on the 8th (which I hope to get on). If you are West coast, then you have not missed any boats, as the last boat to Port Hueneme was Nov 24th. The one after that leaves Southampton on Dec 8th (Falstaff). So your wait is quite normal.

You just missed one boat, as long as your car was status 193 on the 28th, when the Mignon left port in Southampton. Hope we both get on the Fidelio on the 8th.

Ok. I have dilemma now.
2011 JCW on lot (black/red top/black rimm) with conv/cold/premimum and get the .09% financing with $1000 special that they run or just wait for one that I ordered in which would arrive in late January with uncertain availability of .09% financing and special that they run?
And this JCW looks very tempting so that I would surely give up mini connect with navi......
Ah waiting is killing me softly.

I'm poor one to really answer this, but what the heck. If the JCW has what you want in options, and isn't priced too far out of your budget, hey, go for it. I know that there are nay sayers on the JCW, but I love mine. I've had it now for five weeks, and still gives mea GREAT BIG SMILE everytime I get behind the wheel of it. Maybe I've been lucky, but no problems yet. It goes like stink and is very stingy on a gallon of gas. In town, around 30 mpg right now. Also, you should consider the $1K and .09%, I didn't get that, but did get a deal. And, as for January deals? It's possible but you know for sure what's here now. I say, go for the JCW, I doubt that you'll ever regret it. I know I haven't.

Hey all, I put the M7 Turbo shield/insulator on today. Talk about a no brainer. At first I thought that the bolt holes were misplaced, but on looking closer, the unit fit just fine. Slotted holes for mismatch, and it even looks good there. Matches the rest of the dark charcoal in the engine department. Don't know if it helps performance, but it should do the job controlling turbo heat better.

Looks like the Patriot has reached Baltimore. Judging from previous posts I would guess some of you are aboard along with me. I'm guessing one to two weeks to get to the dealer from port?

Port to Dealer

You might be surprised. It usually takes a couple of days for VDC, then a three/for days to get on the transportation truck and to your dealers, then as fast as your dealer gets cars delivered. Maybe right, about 10 days. Good luck and Happy Motoring.

I got quite lucky! Unloaded on a Monday am, at dealer Thursday PM! This was within the state of CA. south end for the VDC, north end for delivery... much faster than I anticipated. I called the dealership to see if they had an estimate for VDC turnaround yet, and they told me it was already there... nice!
