My obsessive tracking of the Rockies Highway has finally paid off… she's just started reporting after leaving Southampton on the 21st. Anyone else have a MINI on board?

Not sure which ship my MINI is on. It has been in transit for over a week. Nothing shows up on the WW site and my MA is more or less useless for tracking. Here's hoping Rockies Highway is money

 

Falstaff slowed a lot to make the 11PM dockign time. Tomorrow I would think sold cars would be processed. I would think local cars that can get delivewred this weekend first. 2010 booked sales. Now we wait for trucking.

 

It always gets frustrating as well as fun just before your new Mini comes. Congratulations guys.

sorry to hear that… my MA and the GM at Century MINI actually showed me the ships name on their computers. I kept checking the WW site found nothing. Then my MA called and asked if I was going to be coming their way and they surprised me with the info. Rockies Highway left Southampton on 12/20 it was scheduled to leave on the 12/19 so you could be on it.

And no excuse for an MA not to look up the status and give you the ship.

 

Falstaff scheduled to dock in 2 hours, 2 hours early. Moot point, since VDC doesn't open til tomorrow morning.

Weird that sold cars get processed first. I tried to buy my mini, but my dealer would not process the paperwork until they get the car. Is anyone able to buy their car prior to delivery? or is it a BMW thing?

 

"sold cars" actually means ordered cars that have deposits on them... So your car would be considered sold and not part of general stock.

Its actually illegal to purchase your car and sign the paperwork prior to arrival. Additionally, the dealership can't process the paperwork without a stock number, which they don't receive until they get the car.

 

Exactly Miss. Have to roll the dice on the financing change on the 3rd. Falstall looks to still be waiting around and not docked yet. Not sure what up there.

 

I think the Falstaff is waiting for the VDC to open. Hopefully they'll start processing cars today.

 

Agree 100%. The data is displayed in their system. My dealer copied and pasted the screen in to an email and sent to me. Shows VIN, ship name, ETA and other bits. No reason for any MA not to give you this info unless they are brand new and don't know (in which case they should ask).

 

My R60 is in the Oberon which is currently moored in Halifax. Scheduled to arrive in NYCPOA on 1/2. Considering I'm in the Philly area, hope to get the car sometime the week of 1/10.

 

Falstaff has finally docked. Let the processing begin!

Cap'n Jack is still enjoying his cruise on the Rockies Highway. Currently off the coast of Wilmington, NC. Rockies Highway is showing an ETA for Brunswick on 1/1/11.

I'm guessing the VDC will not be processing autos over the holiday weekend, so I'm not expecting delivery until the week of 1/10.

Black Jack is on the ground in CA. Talked to my MA today and he said they are slammed for years end. He said about 10 days to delivery which is about what I figured. 438 Mini's landed in CA yesterday so they are busy. I asked about financing rumors for Jan. He stated the Mini select is always 5.9%. I told him I wanted the 0.9% deal. He said he might be able to make that happen and was going to get back to me. That would be way cool.
