Yes indeed.
I actually contemplated so much over blacked out one just like yours and mine.
Very nice.
I just can't wait for mine to get here. It is only two days away from landing VDC. AHHHHHHHHH!

Update: I checked Outmotoring's site, and they now list the 2011 update S grill with or without mounting tabs as well as the JCW grill with or without tabs:

JCW grill

2011 'Update' grill (no idea of the backorder status)

The picture below shows the JCW grill above the 2011 S grill
Thanks for the great tip Charlie! I was able to get the last one Outmotoring had, and am sending it to my dealer to have the lights added on prior to delivery. Many, many thanks ... these things have been on backorder forever.

My baby is "in production" as of yesterday, hopefully hitting up the paint shop today. She should be completed by the 17th! Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get from England to California?

Skabob, question...

Hey,

Are you waiting for Motorwerks, too? What did you order, and who is your MA?

I ordered mine the end of November (29th) and they were able to switch out one of the regular orders for a Cooper S. For some reason they had a ton of just Cooper's coming in, only one S, and someone snagged that one. I changed my order once, too, and it didn't delay anything. Yours may be going into production 1/24/11, too. I think that is when that "batch" is being made (sounds like cookies!). I cannot wait to get my laser blue cookie, I am way too excited! But then again, I would prefer to wait until the weather gets better so I don't get it dirty right away. I got white stripes, top, side mirrors, white turn signals, cold weather package, keyless entry, xenon lights and fog lights, all=-seasons, etc. I originally ordered black top, stripes, etc., but called and changed to white. It's more girly. Let me know all your details!!

Not sure if I'm waiting on anything specific. Just placed the custom order on Saturday, and it hasn't started production yet. I'm just being impatient

Mine's eclipse gray, black roof, black C pillars, black mirrors, black cloth heated seats, sunoofs and the black 6 spoke rims (the ones that don't cost any extra). I think it'll look sharp as a tack!

Official shipping time is stated as 24 days, weather permitting.

transport time

My MA said it would be on the ship 10 days, then by rail and/or trucked to the dealer. I guess it depends where your port location is and where the dealer is located as to the total transport time.

Well that isn't TOO bad I guess... but after it's long trip to Cali it has to take another trip to Hawaii to get to me... I'm guessing that might take 1-2 weeks.

Very long wait almost over

I have been waiting since the week before Thanksgiving. My new Chili Red/Black roof, black alloy wheels, black xenon, MCS Clubman with Lounge leather, Mini Connected & Nav, Mini Glorious Tattoo is finally "awaiting transport". It went into production December 13th and has been "in the Paint shop" for the last week! This has been a very excruciating wait, as my 2007 MCS took exactly 6 weeks. This will be over 9 by the time I get it. The ASKMINI hotline has been alternately helpful and no help. My MA thinks the delay had something to do with Countryman production and engines being diverted to Austria. If anyone else is waiting and has any up todate info on transport ships or shipping schedule, let me know.

I have 2 cars on order, a 2011 Clubman and a 2011 Countryman. The Countryman was supposed to arrive any day, but when I checked the owner's lounge, I noticed that the wrong specs were listed... sure enough when I called he entered the wrong specs To be fair, we did change the specs quite a few times so I can see how it can get mixed up.

It is the same build I wanted, but with extra features that I told him to remove added in. Should I have him reorder, or make him give it to me at the same price with all the extras? The problem with reordering is that my lease is already extended, anticipating taking the car this month. If I have to reorder, the lease will be up. Does MINI give loaners in these situations?

It is all case-specific, but MINI Financial has the final say on the rate, not really the MA or the dealership. Sorry. I certainly hope they can make an exception though!
You were right MissMoxie. My MA called me this morning and told me that she had made a mistake and that the 0.9% interest rate had expired and that it would now be 2.9%. However, she and MINI of Manhattan owned up to the mistake and discounted the car so that my monthly payments would remain the same, as if I still had the 0.9% rate. All's well that ends well.

Man I hope this is one of those "high demand" times where the VDC is working a Saturday. I'm really hoping to take delivery by next friday. Does that seem unrealistic? How long do you suppose my port-installed aero kit will slow it up?

MA reports that mine is at the dealer, awaiting one of the dealer-installed items that is still in Germany. ETA for the part is ~01/19/11 by which time I will be out of town for a few days

Anyone else waiting?
Hey, Wahoo. Since you've had your 2011 MCCS for a little while now could you make a quick list of the PROS and CONS you've experienced?
