Figuring my MCS would be here in a week or two, I put my current car, a Toyota Camry, up for sale yesterday. I anticipated it might take a while to sell. Well I got an offer I couldn't refuse, exactly what I was asking for it, and sold it today, so now I really, really need my MINI to get here!

It's home!

Here are some pics of the new MINI along with my dog who was itching for a ride. Hubby decided to hide his face in the first pic.

Oh and Achilles, before you so switching out your run flats, drive yours for a while. I'm amazed at how much smoother the ride is in the 2011 over the 2010.

Oh dude its cool. Don't sweat it. Having a pic of hubby in the car can make it confusing. I should probably edit that.

I've been going back and forth between a few names. I think I've settled on it. But I'm going to use the Orthodox Jewish ritual of not revealing the name (of a baby) for 7 days in the hopes that this one doesn't turn out to be a lemon like the last one was.

I'm in a similar situation, but I've decided to keep my old car off the market just in case I get that "offer I can't refuse".

Thanks sekhmet101. I was very lucky to get the plates for him, every other combination of Max and MINI was taken.

My '06 was totaled, which was why I ordered an '11. The insurance only covered a rental for 30 days so we had to share my husband's truck for 2+ weeks while we waited for Mozart to arrive. Very painful, but just like childbirth, quickly forgotten when I got my first glimpse of Mozart!

Yay!!!! Very sleek. I'm dying to get my daughter an astro black '06 and do hot pink accents .

I'm also very pleased with the newer run flats. I'm saving my money and will drive on them for at least a year I think before changing them.

yeah i was just looking at those wheels and i actually really like them. I have now decided not to take off my runflats.. thank you sekhmet. ive never seen them actually on a midnight black mini before except for the crappy website where nothing looks like it really is. i feel like if i get bored of the rims i could just make a matte red pinstripe around it

Alright shipmates of the Baltimore March 24th delivery...I went down to my MINI dealer this morning to do a bit of paperwork prep before next week, still crossing my fingers I'd have it by mid-week. And as I was walking out to leave, but what should my bewildering eyes see other than a car hauler pull up with a load of MINI's. I eyeballed them and saw what looked like MINE . Checked the VIN on the window sticker. . Yeah baby, that was it!!

RDemo2 and minipilot515, hopefully yours is that close too. Iowa and Chicago and Green Bay aren't but another days drive beyond Cincinnati. I should be able to pick mine up on Monday....MA was going to talk to the service guys to see how quick they can get to it (was hoping today, but Saturdays are pretty busy already) on Monday.

You will. I live in Chicago, so I'm sure you'll be a couple of days ahead of me.
