Some genius who knows WAY more about water displacement than me, designed these ships ideally for their purpose. My favorite part is the crew lifeboat that is poised to nose-dive off the back at the perfect angle so it can slip into the water without smashing into it or back under the ship. THAT would be a fun ride.
Mine is somewhere between the rail yard and the dealer. Now I'm coping with trucking companies. After reading these posts, I hope I don't have to wait weeks to get to see my new best friend!
The trucking companies seem to be the most mysterious leg of the trip. As I learned, it's all about who your dealership has a contract with. Hopefully your dealership isn't signed up with "Party On Trucking" (which is what I dubbed our dealerships company since the cars all somehow got held up in Savannah the week of St Patrick's day, hmmmm).
Good luck, I'm thinking speedy thoughts for all of you. It's a great week to get a MINI!

Bad news on mine. My salesman sent me an email. He completely miscalculated the monthly payments for me. It will now be almost $150 more per month! So I can't do it...so bummed . Guess I'll go with the Elantra. I'd like to get the Golf TDI (diesel) but apparently there are no good service people for diesels and I'm not a do-it-yourself-er. Wah!
Oh and by the way it's there! THERE at the place and I can't go get it!!
Sorry Martha21. Any chance you could get financing through someplace else? Seems a bit shady for a dealer to fess up to their mistake and not honor it anyway.
To everybody else: Patience is a virtue.

FYI - The Undine is in the process of loading RIGHT NOW! The Southampton VTS needs a webcam on berth 34.

Yeah, it really stinks! The dealer did fess up, he mistakenly put 5K extra miles per year instead of 30K extra miles! He seems to feel very badly about it. He said he'll see if he can come up with any other discounts. I'm waiting to hear back. If he can get it back around $318/month I'll be good because that's what we agreed on. But I doubt he'll be able to get it down that far
For anyone expecting deliveries in April, the MINI financing deals for April are out and it looks like a continuation of the March deals. .9% plus a free package. Mine should be on the Florida Highway making its way to Georgia on April 6. Then another week to get to Texas.

Hmmmm....maybe I should finance mine, get a free package (if a dealer installed one is available?), then pay it off? Can I do that or do they have a minimum finance term that the car cannot be paid off before?

Grimnebulin, good question....I'm interested in knowing this as well!!
My Clubbie S is arriving in in Port Hueneme 4/6 almost exactly 8 weeks after ordering it. I can hardly stand it. Now just wondering how long it will take to make it down to San Diego.
