My MINI finally made it to the dealer! I went down to see him this morning. He's all dirty and travel weary, but looking good none the less! I took some pics, but I'm going to wait to post them because I want him looking his best. They haven't even done the PDA on him yet so he is litterally right off the truck. Went through all the protection packages and everything today. Included in them is the clear bra for only $499! I thought that was pretty good. It comes as part of a larget package though that is pretty pricey, but I thought, what the hell, he's worth every penny of it - and now I can motor on worry free for five years!

Ok I'm sort of freaking out!

My last check in was that I was waiting to get into production- think it was just a few days ago. I logged in to OL today and saw that it went directly toa page that listed the maintenance schedule and all that...saw that I had a VIN number, too (and its listed as a Hardtop Chili Red). So, I finally remember how to find the Track Your Mini Link and check it and it says - Awaiting Transport!!!! WHAT??? And it says "Your Pepper White Hardtop" in that section still.

I am just flummoxed! I never saw a date and didn't get to 'watch' it go through the process.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

 

Hey Sekhmet101, I'll be going to the Royal Haciendas right beside Playa Del Carmen. A real pretty resort I fell in love with when I was there in November last year. I would post a picture of Maxx here, but I'm on my iPad and it has limitations regarding that sort of thing.

Once it gets going, it tends to move pretty quickly. I would call or email the MA and ask them to clarify why it still says PW rather then the CR. I know you're disappointed about not being able to see it go through the process. But just think- you're that much closer to driving it!

 

Buck enjoy! I am jealous. My brother's in Playa del Carmen right now. There was an earthquake somewhere in Mexico yesterday. (I'm not sure where.) But wherever it was, it didn't affect Playa del Carmen.

Normally I'd be thrilled- but I have to wait for my husband to arrive to set up the purchase stuff-- unless they allow me to use a special power of attorney he could send me. He is in Afghanistan and won't be back until June 1st. So... if my car arrives early, I might be here in Texas unable to go get it and drive! aaaaargh!!!

I'm definitely going to call my MA today and see if a Special Power of Attorney can be done, because... well, knowing I'm just a few miles from Big Red and not able to get him for weeks...that's just inhumane!!!

 

Hubby just called! He's headed to Kuwait in 2 days and might get to come home for 10 for a visit!!! YIPPEE!!!

I agree, a very brave soul. My hat's off to him and many thanks too. I only spent time in the militia, but camped with reg forces from time to time and my Dad was in RCEME, a Canadian engineering regiment for 35 years. I was artillery.
