couple of ? from prospective newbie

I am wondering if anyone has an opinion on:
1. roof rails and crossbars
2. Iphone charging while driving

I currently have Yakima crossbars on my Subaru which can take my ski racks, kayak racks, canoe racks and Yakima Skybox. If I order a clubman with rails and crossbars is there any way I can attach the above racks to mini crossbars? Will the skybox (lever clamping style) work on the clubman?

I would want to order an accessory which charges my Iphone while I am driving and can still use phone and Ipod portion. I am confused as to which accessory to purchase to do this... the armrest? the glovebox? the package?

Thank you!

If you want to charge your iPhone AND use the iPod with the radio you will have to get the smartphone prep with the arm rest charging station.
The USB port in the compartment isn't enough voltage to charge an iPhone/Touch, but will charge an iPod (Classic or nano).

The OEM crossbars are very similar to Yakima Aero bars. Its a very high quality setup and I'm very happy with it.

Your existing attachments may work with the cross bars. The OEM crossbars will work with a lot of clamp style attachments, as well as many that use the Aero style channel. I believe that with most Yakima attachments that if they don't work directly, there is a way to adapt them to work. I have no experience with the clubman rails, but I have the crossbars on my MC.
