my new baby :)

I just purchased my second Mini Cooper. I had a 2005 Cooper and just purchased 2009 S. WOW! I love it. It rides smoother and the manual transmission is much smoother.

Question:

Does this model not have the automatic radio control with slower speeds?
One of the things I liked in my 2005 was that the radio turned volume down when I came to a stop light or slowed down.

Any help is appreciated.

My '07 has auto volume for the radio/CD player.
Welcome to Gen 2. Enjoy the ride!

Congrats! The auto volume control on mine also works with the AUX input which I use a lot since I have a bunch of MP3 files on the USB stick. The feature is nice, but would be nicer if it adjusted the volume up after I pull out of the garage/parking lot and drop the top, but I need to manually increase it then the system kicks in and keeps it from blowing out my ears when I slow down again (which I try to do as little as possible). I think the audio system would be great if it remembered the last volume setting instead of going to a default level everytime I start the car. I mean if they can store our "user" profile on the key fob, why not put the darn sound level settings there also?
