Good Afternoon Everyone just wanted to introduce myself and my car. I have a 2003 mini cooper white with black racing stripes on back and a black mirrors and top. It has 162,000 miles on it and is my daily driver. Love my car since I got it. Will post some pics later

I love hearing someone with a 2003 MINI Cooper that has that many miles! Hoping my 2003 Cooper's gonna go that far! Anything you've run into? I would love to hear about it all.

Sorry guys have not taken a picture yet to post. I bought the car at 110,000 and put 52,000 on it in about 2 years. So here is what I had to replace or fix so far and any issues I had with the car.

Transmission and clutch at 130,000 miles - Around 1 year into owning it the transmission locked up and the car would not move. I had it towed and had a new transmission installed (5 speed). The installer stated the clutch was ok but he advised I may want to change it now while they had the transmission out so I did. Total cost $4,000. Yes that hurt

I have had to replace the light bulb in the right headlight 4 or 5 times. Not sure why this keep happening.

Replaced windshield due to a rock coming up and hitting and putting big chip which extended into a crack - $400, new fog light due to rock also ($120)

Tires - Bought new tires about $500

New Alternator, New Starter, Plugs (tune up), System flush, new oil filter housing, wipers, and frequent oil changes (every 4,000 miles)

It still looks and runs as good as the day I got it and I have not needed breaks or rotors yet. Seats are in good shape (no tears), no cracks in dashboard, stearing and handling is still awesome.

It does need a glovebox latch (using a pen to hold closed).

Other than that runs like a charm and I do 120 miles a day now with no issues on highways going about 75 mph most of the time.

Wow, that's one heckuva commute. I think this story is a testament to NOT following the factory maintenance schedule and changing the oil more frequently than every 12K miles.
