Another MINI finds a forever home
Today I brought home my 2006 MCS! Originally (a few months ago) I was thinking I'd spec order a car, and had planned on doing it next fall. Then - purely for fun - I started searching via AutoTrader, and found the car for me.
The details:
BRG/W
6 spd.
17" web spoke wheeels
Tuscan beige/carbon black leather interior
Sport pkg.
Premium pkg.
H/K upgrade
iPod adapter
Xenons
(The car also has door sills that say "Cooper S", but I'm not sure if these light up or are standard.)
At any rate, I was totally thrilled to find all this in a car that has <30,000 miles (though not for long! ), and the first test drive sold me. I still cannot believe my dumb luck to have found such a car, but I'm chalking it up to Karma. I'm looking forward to many, many happy motoring miles in the days to come. Speaking of which, time to quit typing & start posting so I can get on the road! And, you know I'll be waving!
SOLD!

Good question. I think I'm gonna get some new stripes on her first, and then some window tint. After that I'm thinking about CAI & reduced pulley. My car has pretty low miles so I'm wary of making mods that could shorten the lifespan of engine components, but for the sensory input & extra performance, I just might hafta anyway

In my humble, and unbiased opinion, you just scored the best MINI made.
Check my gallery.
Now, contact Richard (Octaneguy), and score his 7424XP package and some pads and Prima products which can be found here.

Oh yeah....first mod.....Whalen shift ****.
BTW.......you may still have some warranty time remaining. Contact your local MINI dealer, provide them your VIN, and they can tell you when your warranty expires(d). If it's still under warranty, have them check the thermostat housing for any sign of leakage and more importantly, the clutch for any dual mass deterioration.

Thanks everyone! I woke up during the night to get a drink & had to peek in the garage, just to make sure everything was OK LOL. I'm already thinking about longer routes to my usual destinations like the grocery store, etc. and places to go (for no apparent reason) just to spend more time in my MINI.

I have a chili red 2006 MCS with the exact same wheels as you. I absolutely love the British Racing Green. I just could not find one as nice as yours when I was looking. The only real performance mod that I purchased was an Alta CAI. I am very happy with it, however I would look at the DDM CAI on waymotorworks as well. I would love to have a 15% reduction pulley, but since I plan on driving my Car till the wheels fall off, I am a little nervous about how fast it might wear out the supercharger. You might also look into some handling mods that will make the car more fun, but not wear on the engine. Koni fsd dampeners, Powerflex control arm bushings and rear sway bars!

I plan to treat this car very well & hopefully keep it for many years to come, so I too am concerned about burning out the SC w/a smaller pulley. I have a very well-respected independent MINI shop near me, so I plan to get their input on that topic. A CAI would be a nice add, and I thought about the rear sway bar too.
But I gotta say I'm not in a big rush for mechanical mods as I LOVE the way the car drives bone stock. I come from a long line of Camry, Camry, Buick, and Honda so the MINI is far & away the best driving car I've had so far (vast understatement). I enjoy her as-is & am in no big hurry to mod just yet.
OK, gotta go plan a l-o-n-g way to the grocery store now
